Hello, I have downloaded the latest Sierra Charts "successfully" but when I click on it, it will not install (or run). I just get a quick 1 sec splash of a screen (which I can't see what it is, since its literally 1 sec) and then nothing.

The installer log just says: "Installer version: 9 | 2019-09-08 18:50:31" and nothing else. See screenshot.

We want you to use the zip installer instead:
Software Download: Sierra Chart Zip Installer

Let us know if that solves the problem or you need further help.

I was able to "install" but the instructions are not clear enough as to what folder you should extract the files to. I am able to extract all that is in the zip file and double click on the Sierra charts icon, but I get an error saying I am unable to write to folder and I need to run it as an administrator (see screenshot) so I will have to right click on the icon and select run as administrator option.

Also, Sierra Charts does not show up under the programs. Nor will you it under the 'add or remove program' options.

I have Tradestation and NinjaTraders and their setup was not problematic at all. The learning curb on the sierra charts is much much much higher. So the 14 days 'free' trial might not be enough is you spend 75% of your time just trying to load the application correctly.

Is there a video library that will walk you through the setups and functionalities of Sierra Chart?

First of all, there is next to no one who has trouble installing Sierra Chart. It is the one program in this world, which is the least difficult to install. And we mean that with certainty. It is point-blank simple to install and run. This is a literal fact due to its simplicity because it has no external dependencies and it is all self-contained in a single folder.

We never hear about at all, what you described in the first post. And we mean never. No one ever reports anything like this is and it is baffling to us to even hear this:
but when I click on it, it will not install (or run). I just get a quick 1 sec splash of a screen (which I can't see what it is, since its literally 1 sec) and then nothing.
So we really do not even understand what the situation is around this. Sierra Chart does not even use a splash screen, and nothing would show up for just one second.

We looked at where you have installed Sierra Chart and all of them are in the wrong location. Delete all copies of Sierra Chart that you have installed.

You need to install Sierra Chart to:
C:\SierraChart

We have extended your trial.

To get started with Sierra Chart, start with this page here:
Getting Started, Opening Charts and Basic Trading

Finally, if you need help installing Sierra Chart we can help you with remote assistance. But as we said this is just so simple and straightforward. The only time someone may have trouble with the installer is when security software on the users system is blocking it. We made an educated guess, that that is what was happening in your case but we do not know. If you need help, let us know and set your telephone number here:

To set up a shortcut to Sierra Chart, refer to:
Software Download: Setting up Shortcut to Sierra Chart

To delete your existing installations of Sierra Chart, refer to:
Software Download: Uninstalling

That section also explains why it is not located in Add/Remove Programs.

We have been contemplating this:
I just get a quick 1 sec splash of a screen (which I can't see what it is, since its literally 1 sec) and then nothing.
We now realize that when you refer to the splash screen, you most likely are referring to the Login window although it does stay up longer than one second. But after that you will see the main Sierra Chart window and then can open charts as explained here:

Getting Started, Opening Charts and Basic Trading

If not, then somehow it is positioned offscreen which should never be the case on a new installation. If you have this problem, let us know.
