Since yesterday, we experience a huge outage when it comes to order management on Bitmex via SC. First of all it takes forever untill SC grabs and reports fill/post data from Bitmex. When we put in an order, it sits on "Pending Open" forever although we can see the order directly in the Bitmex web version. Same for cancelling orders. When we cancel, "Pending Cancel" shows up forever, although it doesn't actually cancel in the Bitmex account, I have to do it manually via web interface. On top of that the positions do not get reported correctly, SC still shows a position we closed two days ago. Can you consider looking into it. I already looked up some previous support tickets and it seems that sometimes, the problem is on Bitmex' end. Also do you have any timeline with regards to your own adapter to Bitmex? Many thanks |

All of these issues are on the BitMEX sided BitMEX is aware of them. They really should have a proper implementation of the DTC Protocol. Also do you have any timeline with regards to your own adapter to Bitmex? It is basically done and we are just finishing with testing now. Should be out by the end of the week.

Hi there, sounds good. How do we know we are running on the new connection? Are you planning to put out a notification or update your patchnotes? If not, please consider doing so. We will need to trade a little smaller in oder to test the new connector and see how it goes. Thanks for your time and your consideration. |

So does the current application work or is it just malfunctioning for some users?

I am sorry to wear on you, but I'm new to bitmex and getting more and more concerned about this company.... Have these issues been going on for a long time or are they relatively new? Has the Sierra/Bitmex integration ever worked well? I won't execute on their web platform without being able to attach a stop with my orders, and Sierra is the only option for point and click traders.. This is starting to sounds like a pretty dodgy operation the more I delve into it...

When you say "this company" we hope you are not referring to Sierra Chart. Anyway, we think a lot of your questions will be answered near the end of this thread post here: Direct BitMEX Trading Support The issues have been on and off since the beginning. The outside developer, who does not work for us, who worked on the original DTC gateway/bridge did make a lot of improvements many months ago. But still there are sometimes problems. It is fair to characterize the existing DTC gateway this way: pretty dodgy operation
It is not fair whatsoever to characterize Sierra Chart in this way. And after having worked with BitMEX for more than a year now, we do not consider them dodgy. But the direct BitMEX integration is intended to replace the integration through the DTC gateway. This direct integration is now available but keep in mind it is new. In regards to "dodgy", you have to consider the entire crypto currency realm itself. Nothing backs up these currencies. They are just computer programs. They are certainly good speculative instruments to trade, but hardly a place to invest hard-earned money. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
