there are times i might have lost connection while traveling. what happens is that there is a gap in the data. e.g. historical data is missing.

i have tried using delete and reload data by right clicking the charts but no luck.

only option i had was to reinstall Sierra chart.

how should i resolve this issue?

You should not normally have to manually try to download historical data. This happens automatically. And if it is not, it means there is some sort of connectivity issue.

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Right-click somewhere in the middle of the chart and select Delete and Download Data.

Wait about 20 seconds and then provide a copy of the Message Log by following these instructions:

First, make sure you are only connected to the data feed from one computer at a time. You are not setup to get the data to 2 different computers at the same time. Refer to the following:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed on Two Computers Simultaneously

Second, follow through the information at the following link to get more data loaded:
Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data

And finally, we notice that you have the "Full CME Group with Market Depth for Non-Professional Trading Accounts" activated, but your Exchange Agreements have not been properly filled out and you have not connected to a live, funded, futures trading account to verify your non-professional status. Therefore, you will not be getting the CME Group data in real-time. Refer to the information at the following link:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

If you do not have an account that qualifies for the above, then we recommend the solution outlined at the following link:
Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement

You can redo the agreements for the CME Group at the following link - be sure to enter your live trading account FCM (or broker) and the account number:
