Apparently this problem is no longer occurring?

Gain Capital has no idea about it at this time but it was certainly a problem on their FIX server. That is clear based upon the messages.

There were three problems:
Missing fields in execution reports.
FIX server not accepting orders and not even responding to them.
An error on their side indicating a reference was not sent to an object.

ok i sent the account #

I think I found the cause of it. seems to be an issue with executing orders on the 2nd instance of sierra chart. So the order works when inputted on the main sierra instance. the 2nd instance causes the hang up.

User99934,

are you using multiple instances of sierra chart? Try executing on the main one

We do not see how this issue would be caused by a sub instance of Sierra Chart. It is clear the root of these issues are with the Gain Capital FIX server. They have acknowledged it.

It seems it has to do with server-side OCO and bracket orders. Disable those through Global Settings >> General Trade Settings.

yes you are right. I put in an OCO order and now the orders are getting stuck again. The time that it worked I just put in a limit order.

GAIN support manager needs to subscribe to this board. There are often problems - often on Sunday evening. Please ask your broker to ask GAIN support to subscribe and monitor this board. Maybe we can have a GAIN only thread or something - let's do whatever Sierra Support suggests.

Still having a similar issue with trailing stop. So part of the problem was fixed. But now the trigtrailstop limit stop order is stuck on my screen.

Hi,

I am trying out a gain oec, and I am getting the same error when using EURO FX and "trade and quote symbol" to a mini or micro.
Disabling OCO does kinda solve the problem, but what seems to have really solved the problem was changing the "eurofx" 6EM symbol tick size to the mini or micro tick size. ( now server side oco works properly and orders don't fail ). ( so , 6EM tick size is 0.5, M6EM is 1.0, making 6EM tick size 1.0 makes everything work ).

Is there a way to make this work without changing tick size of the 6EM symbol ?

Tell us specifically what error you are getting. We do not look back at prior old posts. Refer to:
Support Board Posting Information: Providing Lines From Trade Service Log

The Tick Size of the chart is going to need to match the symbol actually being traded.
