i set up the Parallel Rays tool with 25%, 50%, and 75%
i stretch or compress the Timeline and the rays redraw in different places
i stretch or compress the Price axis and the rays redraw in different places
i print my chart for end-of-day review and the rays are in different places or they do not print

this is a consistent problem and i encounter the problem multiple times daily - it is very distracting

What you need to do is extend the distance between the beginning and ending anchor points for the Rays. This is documented in this section here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails34.html#RayExtendedDrawings

This may also solve the printing problem. Not totally clear why you would have a problem with that. Does not make much sense as to why those lines would not print. Maybe it has something to do with the color of the lines. You may want to enable Global Settings >> General Settings >> Print Only in Black and White.

i understand about the rays and extending them - i am OK with that

i copy one ray drawing and then paste;move the new drawing to a new location, this is my process

some days, one of the ray drawings will print, then another day none of the ray drawings will print, although everything else including text and Fibonacci retracements will print OK

it seems that when you capture all the drawings the ray drawings are not captured correctly, and sometimes they are printed in erroneous locations on the charts - it's like the program does not keep accurate track of the ray drawings, and then at print time the wrong dataset is collected - can you do something like the Windows Printcreen function?

it's like the program does not keep accurate track of the ray drawings,
This could not be the case.

The only reasonable explanation would be out of order timestamps if the Rays are not at the correct locations. Re-download the data in the chart with Edit >> Delete Data and Download.

When you have this problem what would help us, is to show us an image of the chart by following these instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image

It is possible to capture the chart as a graphic and then print that in another program. You can use Edit >> Copy to Chart.bmp for this.

I printed the Chart on my local printer and scanned the printout on my scanner and uploaded the .jpg file to this support instance: CCF12052104_0000.jpg

The parallel rays visible on the .png file are NOT visible on the .jpg file from my printout.

Do notice a difference when this is enabled:
Global Settings >> General Settings >> Print Only in Black and White.

We need you to do the following:
-Go to that chart
-Select File >>New Chartbook
-Go back to your original Chartbook
-Select Chart >> Duplicate Chart to Chartbook
-Go to the new Chartbook.
-Select File >> Save.

Attach the new Chartbook here by following these instructions:

We are able to reproduce the problem and we are looking into why this would be happening.

We actually now realize the problem with the movement you see with Parallel Rays and that will be corrected in about a week.

The problem with the stability of Parallel Rays when changing the chart scale has been solved in 1217 and also the printing issue as well.

The printing issue had to do with the higher resolution of printers and a coordinate limitation that was programmed a long time ago to avoid Windows driver bugs which could cause a system lockup. We hope this will not introduce the problem again but we assume this has been resolved by Windows and driver developers.

I select a Parallel Ray drawing on the chart and a different Parallel Ray drawing moves across the chart or gets distorted.

Is there a setting I must adjust in the chart or in the Global Settings to restrict drawing movement to the specific drawing I am trying to move.

It also seems that whenever I select one of the Parallel Ray drawings, multiple Parallel Ray drawings are selected.

Thanks.
