The problem is that Interactive Brokers does not give clear and reliable order status codes and updates. The problem is they are not updating the Stop attached order indicating that it is open. The last status they gave is PreSubmitted We do not want to start doing hacks to solve these problems. We have been clearing out the Interactive Brokers hacks that we have put in over the years. So we are not offering a solution to this at this time when using interactive brokers. You will have far more stable trading with this service: Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service We have discontinued, technical support for Interactive Brokers. This is an Interactive Brokers specific issue. One thing you can do is disable the use of server-side bracket orders with Interactive Brokers. That will solve the problem for the time being. Here is the option: Global Trade Settings Windows: Use Server Side Bracket Orders (if supported) (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General) You can use server-side bracket orders with the Sierra Chart order routing service (link above) for safe management of orders. The basic problem is that the move to breakeven functionality on the Trade Window will not perform the action if the order is in a pending child state for safety reasons. And interactive brokers is not giving any further status update on the attached stop order from what we can tell when the parent order fills. The status of the limit order is updated by TWS but not the stop order. Why? The best thing to do right now is disable the use of server-side bracket orders . This will solve the problem: Global Trade Settings Windows: Use Server Side Bracket Orders (if supported) (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks for the response. Can you please confirm the following: 1. When using Interactive Brokers in the Data/Trade Service, disable "Use Server Side OCO Orders" under Global Settings -> General Trade Settings - Correct? 2. If I disable "Use Server Side OCO Orders", can I still use "Use Attached Orders" with a stop loss and target? 3. What do you mean by "You can use server-side bracket orders with the Sierra Chart order routing service (link above) for safe management of orders."? Can I use it for Interactive Brokers? if so, can you provide instructions? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-05-23 05:24:59

1. No. This option: Use Server Side Bracket Orders (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings) We do not think there would be a problem using server-side OCO orders. 2. Yes of course. 3. No definitely not. You have to use a different clearing firm. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Sorry, can you please clarify response #1: 1.1. Do I disable or enable "Use Server Side OCO Orders"? 1.2. Do I disable or enable "Use Server side Bracket Orders"? 1.3. If I disable "Use Server side Bracket Orders", can I still use "Use Attached Orders" with a stop loss and target? |
