The basic problem is that the move to breakeven functionality on the Trade Window will not perform the action if the order is in a pending child state for safety reasons. And interactive brokers is not giving any further status update on the attached stop order from what we can tell when the parent order fills. The status of the limit order is updated by TWS but not the stop order. Why? The best thing to do right now is disable the use of server-side bracket orders .
