I am running my instance and it suddenly crashes - It is a sub instance - I have started it in safe mode - I have disabled OpenGL - I have restarted my computer multiple times (windows 11, latest, amd64) - Version: 2646, Rev: 50448M It happens when I either click the button "Folder" in the "Trade Acitivity Log" > "Trades" > "Save Log As" screen or when recompiling an ASCIL file. It does create a .dmp file in the Crashes folder. I get when pressing the "Folder" button: Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFCDC4E2583 (explorerframe.dll) in SierraChart.23464.dmp: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00007FFCDDDA7C88. And I get when it happens during "Compile Visual C++ Release": Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFCFC734470 in SierraChart.2984.dmp: 0xC0000005: Access violation executing location 0x00007FFCFC734470. From the stracktrace: (it is the Main Thread( 00007FFD096E9D56 mov qword ptr [rsp+50h],rax What can I do here please? I can not really use it anymore. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-06-16 20:13:44

Update: I was able to narrow it done. There seem to be two things going on: 1: The exception which came up when I was compiling an ASCIL was my mistake as I am using external resources which seems to be problematic when they change and the DLL is unloaded, it works when I manually release the DLLs and recompile. 2: The second exception: Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFCDC4E2583 (explorerframe.dll) in SierraChart.23464.dmp: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00007FFCDDDA7C88. comes only up if OpenGL is enabled. I have the latest nvidia drivers installed but i keep getting the error. |

In this case just do not use OpenGL. We do not believe this is a problem within Sierra Chart.
