I have tried various setups to resolve issue which log will show this, also my broker said to contact sierra directly so i can discuss details he gave me, I am using a free version and will pay but i must contact sierra first via my broker instructions for correct payment amount. I submitted a phone support request @ 830 Est with no reply, please advise also you can contact me via email so we may discuss further

Select Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings.
Set the Server to "Production".
Press OK.
Select File >> Connect to Data Feed.
If you are running any firewall software, disable it if you still have trouble connecting. The Windows firewall does not have to be disabled.

I was changing settings and didnt change that one back. Ok Im back to green light and can open intra day chart that has live data at current price. ty

But my main issue is on a workspace I imported into Sierra, it has friday data on it, plus prior history how do i make this chart live? I have ESu3 contract for June my workspace charts will NOT go live???????????????????????????????

and Fyi- is this the only way to contact u guys I am a live trader and it takes a LONG time to get a response, sorry but being blunt all day to get to this response

This is the most efficient way to contact us. We do apologize for the delay on this. If you have any live trading issues, those need to be taken to your broker and not us. Please also understand we do not control the connections to external services. An engineer who is familiar with the integration to Rithmic needs to review these Message Logs and advise you as to the proper solution. And it is also possible we may have to forward issues like this to Rithmic.

You need to change the symbols of the charts to use the Rithmic symbols. You appear to be using IQ Feed symbols. To do this, refer to this page:

Im confused-in sierra data connect tab-once Rithmic is selected it only allows u to connect to instruments with the rithmic symbol, as example I used ESU3 which is june 2013 which on new intraday chart I get live feed, but on saved workspace when I set to ESU3 i get no chart just white background, note on this same saved workspace chart with ESM3 i get my correct chart but old data from friday????. I just cant make any of my workspace charts go live?

The fastest solution to this is to open new charts by selecting File >> Find Symbol.

The correct symbol is ESM3-CME

got it figured out, another sierra user called me to assist, even though I pulled symbol out of rithmic feed it doesnt include -CME which allows data to connect so ESM3-CME working like a champ

This cannot possibly be the case. All of the Rithmic symbols that Sierra Chart has do have the exchange specified. Select Global Settings >> Symbol Settings. Press the Update From Server button to make sure all of the symbols are up-to-date.

and for me to conduct business I could care less about the .50 if someone had contacted me back which no one from that side has(a support phone ticket was ordered by me 830est), I need to do more research on your hours of operation for phone and tech support, and what order I might fall into

Our support is nearly 24 hours, but the connection issue is handled by one of the engineers to make sure it was properly responded to. This was the reason for the delay.

If you had trouble logging into Sierra Chart, someone would be able to call you right away. When it comes to an external service connection problem, we are limited in the help that we can provide because we do not control those connections. So sometimes we are making guesses as to what the problem is. What I said to change the server to "Production" from the paper trading server, that was only a guess. There are several other potential issues. All of which are not clear to us because we do not control the connection.

Also, from what we can tell from this thread, you were successfully connected in the beginning but had an issue with the symbols from an existing chartbook with another service. The symbol formats are different. While we try to do our best to provide fast support, we cannot always be expected to be immediately responding to specialized issues like this. It goes into detail about how to set Sierra Chart to work with Rithmic, troubleshooting log in problems, and opening charts. Helping with an existing Chartbook, can be left until later on. From our perspective, with all of our responsibilities we do not consider that a priority and there is no way we can operate effectively, by providing rapid support for something like that. It simply is not possible especially at the prices we charge.
