Hello, I live in Reunion Island, UTC+4 but I would like to have the overnight and session cash times separate on my TPO chart, but I don't know how to get the right time zone for my charts to start on the correct schedule, what should I change? And what should I set as a schedule? |

It really does not matter what Time Zone you are set in, or how you have it set. You just need to ensure that your Session Times are correct for the time zone of the chart relative to when the actual Day/Evening Sessions occur. For instance, the CME Group would have the following Session Times for a chart set with the Central US Time Zone (same location as the CME Group): - Start Time: 08:30:00 - End Time: 15:59:59 - Evening Start Time: 16:00:00 - Evening End Time: 08:29:59 Therefore, if you have a chart that has a Time Zone of UTC+4, your times would be the following: - Start Time: 18:30:00 - End Time: 01:59:59 - Evening Start Time: 02:00:00 - Evening End Time: 18:29:59 Then on the TPO Chart, you would need to set the Input for "New Period At Day Session Start When Using Evening Session". Refer to the following: Time Price Opportunity (TPO) Profile Charts: New Period at Day Session Start When Using Evening Session (1 Day Period Only) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

The Brussels Time Zone is currently +2 from UTC, so for the Session Times, you would use what we gave above for UTC+4 and subtract two hours for each entry (i.e. Start Time would be 16:30). On the TPO Chart, set the Input for "New Period At Day Session Start When Using Evening Session" to "Yes". This will give you separate Day and Evening profiles.

I am using the 1st setting (Central US Time Zone) as John mentioned in Post#2, a little issue with European time zone is that, they have different daylight saving schedule than USA, so, there will be 3 weeks in a year, that time setting would be incorrect. There was a discussion about using USA time zone setting and display local time on the chart with ACSIL code to make it happen, you can find it here: Time Zone and Evening Trading Session |

In response to your questions posted in the Account Support Ticket: Select "Global Settings >> Time Zone Settings". Set the entry for "Time Zone" to "Brussels". Select OK to close that window. If you have not changed your charts time zone, then they should all be set to use the "Global Time Zone", which is now Brussels, so you should not have to change this for each chart. If you have changed any charts, and you want them to be in the Brussels time zone, then you will need to go to "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times" and set the "Time Zone" there to "Use Global Time Zone". Select "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times" and enter the following Session Times for CME Group charts: - Start Time: 16:30:00 - End Time: 23:59:59 - Evening Start Time: 00:00:00 - Evening End Time: 16:29:59 On the TPO chart open the settings window for the TPO study and set the Input for "New Period At Day Session Start When Using Evening Session" to "Yes".

From Google Translate: Hello, I would like to know something. How do I configure the globex timetable for my Tpo, with my Brussels time zone? What time should I set for my start session and end session settings?
Then, we agree that the American open is at 9:30 a.m. local time. But what is the schedule for opening and closing globex? thank you for your reply We see the word "Globex" used in this fashion on occasion, and it really makes no sense to us. Globex is the electronic clearing system that is used by The CME Group. It is not a time frame. If you are referring to the "Regular Trading Hours" or the "Day Trading Hours" then these are from 08:30 to 16:00 Central US time. The "Evening Trading Hours" are from 16:00 to 08:30 Central US Time. Keep in mind, the evening trading hours are associated with the next day's trading. That is, trades that occur from 16:00 to midnight on Monday are part of the Tuesday trading day (and of course, trades from midnight to 08:30 on Tuesday are also part of Tuesday's trading). Given the above, if you are using Brussels for your time zone, then you would need to enter the following for your Session Times: - Start Time: 15:30:00 - End Time: 22:59:59 - Evening Start Time: 23:00:00 - Evening End Time: 15:29:59 For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

From Google Translate: Thank you for the answer, but then for this part what should I put? Where is it written session start time and session end time? Because I use the Tpo throughout the daily trading schedule and not in use evening session
The entries for "Evening Start Time" and "Evening End Time" are just below the "Session Start Time" and "Session End Time". If you do not use the Evening Session, then it does not matter what you enter for the Evening Session Times, just make sure the option for "Use Evening Session" is set to "No".
