Hello, In addition to the information in the subject, I want to mention that I have the '10 - Integrated Standard -36 USD /Month package. After purchasing the package yesterday afternoon, I seemed to be receiving live data, not delayed data. Can you please help me receive live data? Attached is a picture of my current plan along with the real time data and delayed data agreements, is it delayed because the real time agreement hasn't been approved? Thank you in advance. |

You definitely have not been getting any real-time data from us as you do not have any exchanges active. It looks like you are wanting the data for the NASDAQ TotalView exchange. Before you activate the exchange, be aware of the limitations of this exchange by reviewing the information at the following link: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Nasdaq TotalView Data Feed Notes We just want to make sure that this is the exchange you want, as there is also the "US Equities Consolidated Tape" that has the full volume information. Or, if you want both, then you can activate both the "NASDAQ TotalView" and the "U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape" exchanges and then use the suffix "_MBO" in order to get the combined data where the bars are from the U.S. Equities feed and the Market Depth is from the NASDAQ TotalView. In order to setup an exchange you need to follow through the instructions at the following link: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: All Other Exchanges* ----- If you do not mind, we would like to understand how you knew to fill out the exchange agreements, but did not actually activate the exchange. Where did you get the information to know to fill out the agreements? We are really curious, as we see this a lot and we would like to change our documentation to fix this issue, but there is nothing that states this anywhere, so we are very confused on how this occurs. So your information would be very helpful to use. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you for the quick response. I think I got confused with the documentation, for me, it was a bit overwhelming, from reading the documentation, I needed to get a package that would allow for real time data, I looked at the NASDAQ trading view one but... not sure if it is a glitch but I did receive real time data yesterday after I activated the 10 - Integrated Standard -36 USD /Month package, I looked at stock and it was reading the current asking price etc. it wasn't 15 minutes delayed. So I thought maybe I didn't need an extra package to get what I needed. On how I ended up signing the agreements... this morning, when I noticed it said delayed at the top of the chart, I started looking for a way to get the live data. Then I went to available services page, I saw the NASDAQ TotalView package and went in there and signed the agreements thinking that that's all I needed to do to get the live data, however, when I tried to activate it, I kept on getting an error message, just tried it again and now it is letting me add that package. I am interested in using the Sierra Number bar chart with US stocks. I want the best data possible, would there be an advantage of going with the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape package instead? Would I need both for the best data possible for what I want? Thank you in advance for your help. V/r. Gabriel Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-08-31 17:16:36

The reason why the data was not initially delayed is that when it first downloads the historical data it is going to bring it up to the current time (not the delayed time). If you had watched the bars closely you would have noticed that new bars were not being added until after the 15 minute period had passed, at which time all the information in the chart would be the delayed data. As to whether you should go with the Consolidated Tape or NASDAQ TotalView, it really depends on where you want to trade and what data you want to see. If you are going to be making trades exclusively on the NASDAQ exchange and you only want to see the volume data for that exchange, then the NASDAQ TotalView is the best option. On the other hand, if you are going to just put the trade out there and let the matching engine put it to any of the exchanges for which the instrument is traded, then you would want to be viewing the total volume which would require the Consolidated Tape exchange. The other question for you is whether you use Market Depth as part of your charting? --- Thanks for the information on how you got to the Agreements. I see, thank you for explaining why I thought I had real time data at the beginning. I usually don't use the Market Depth, but it seems like a good addition and something I would like to try out. I'm going to go with the Consolidated Tape Exchange, thank you much for you help! Have a good rest of your day. Gabriel |

The Consolidated Tape does not include Market Depth. If you want to get this along with the Consolidated Tape, then you will want to also activate the "NASDAQ TotalView" exchange and then you can use a symbol with an "_MBO" suffix to get the Consolidated Tape bars with the NASDAQ TotalView depth. For example, for IBM you would enter IBM_MBO. Otherwise, if you are just using the Consolidated Tape exchange, then you enter the symbol as normal. For example, to get IBM, you use the symbol IBM. Just so you are aware, if you are using the NASDAQ TotalView data, or if you want to see this as delayed streaming data, then you would add the suffix "-NQTV". For example, to get the data for IBM, you would use the symbol IBM-NQTV. One further note - there is not delayed streaming data for the _MBO data. Hello John, I have the consolidated tape package along with the NASDAQ TotalView package however, My active service is the 10 - Integrated Standard, it seems that what I needed to get the number bars is the "5 - Base Advanced - 36 USD / Month package". I Tried switching from the 10 to the 5 but when I do so, it won't allow me to activate the Denali Data Feed' or click on the agreements to activate the Consolidated Tape or the NASDAQ total view for package 5.How can I make the switch? I appreciate your help. V/r. Gabriel |
