The CL symbol trades on the NYMEX exchange of the CME Group. You have only activated the the CME and CBOT exchanges.

You may want to wait until March 1, 2023 before activating the exchange as you will pay the full amount for the exchange for the remainder of February and then pay again in March. But, it is also only $2.50 to add the NYMEX top-of-book exchange.

The other thing we want to point out is that you will want to change your exchange selection to just be the Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for non-professional Trading accounts as you will then get all 4 exchanges for the cost of 3. To do this, you will want to deactivate (set the exchanges to not renew) that you have active right now. Then on March 1, 2023 activate the Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for non-professional Trading accounts exchange.

It looks as though you may not be using the correct symbol either. Use the symbols found in File >> Find Symbol-Futures-NYMEX.

And be sure to refer to the prior post.

You have not activated the NYMEX exchange. You need to do this at the following link:

And be sure to wait until March 1, 2023 to do so...as also noted above, unless you want to pay TWICE.

I am trying to use the delayed trading simulator on CLG24 and I keep getting this message, "Symbol Error - CLG24 is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. Market depth request not allowed | 2024-01-08 20:28:42.384". It loads all of the historical data but I can not get any delayed market depth/data. I have already followed the directions on https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails1.html#:~:text=If%20you%20receive%20a%20%22Symbol,Trading%20service%20account%2C%20or%20improperly and Delayed Exchange Data Feed but neither is fixing the issue.

You have the NYMEX exchange activated, therefore you should not be using the Delayed Trading Evaluator. Please change to the standard one and let us know if you are still having an issue.

Our servers are showing that your setting for "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Current Selected Service" is set to "SC Data - All Services".

Each service uses a different symbology, so when you change services you need to update your symbols for that service. When you select OK on the "Data/Trade Service Settings" page it will prompt you to update your symbols. If you forget, or open another chartbook later that needs updating, then you can do this by selecting "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service".

Make sure you have the correct symbols for the service you are connected to. If you are still getting an error, then let us know and we will need to know the exact message you are getting.

I had switched back over to SC Data because I could not get the Trading evaluator to work.

I am not currently connected to a separate trading system because you guys somewhat recently stopped the integration of their services with your software. But reading through the Sierra charts information pages it seemed like even if I was not connected to a trading service I could at least access delayed market data through the Denali exchange. However, I can only access the historical data right now.

If your service is set to "SC Data - All Services" then you have the wrong symbol, as we were point out above. Please open your chartbooks and select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service". This should resolve your problem.

That is not my problem. When I am using "SC Data - All Services" I get all of the historical data and I get brought over to CLG24-NYMEX. That is all good, however my issue is that I can not get any delayed market data using any of the Data/trading service settings. Again, I have tried all of the steps listed on the website and when I switch over to the trading evaluators I can not get the symbol to give me real time data or delayed market data.

Pick a service setting and we need to work from there. We need to just talk about one setting, switching it around only confuses everything.

With a particular service setting (please tell us what it is) what is one symbol for which you are having an issue. We need the symbol exactly as it is entered for the chart.

Please tell us exactly what is occurring with this symbol.
