I have a second instance that I use to monitor several names. I have recently cleaned up instance two, and reconfigured it. Starting with a blank slate, I have AAPL-NQTV, AMZN-NQTV, TSLA-NQTV. These are all working properly. However, GOOGL-NQTV & FB-NQTV, are not working. I have deleted their .scid files in an attempt to re-download all data. The odd thing is that Google isn't showing up as a symbol at all when you do a symbol search. FB-NQTV won't load any data, and is stuck on 2022-06-08. Under data-trade services I have the following settings: Non-tick data: 180 1-tick data: 10 When I pull up a brand new symbol (such as NVDA-NQTQ which I have no existing data for) it loads perfectly fine. Under symbol settings I have unchecked "used custom symbol settings" and tried to "update from server." I have disconnected/reconnected after doing all of these steps. |

Just because they are not listed in the Find Symbol window, does not mean you can not get the data. Just enter the symbol in the Selected Symbol field and then select the button for the type of chart you want. You should not be having any issues with GOOGL-NQTV. If you are not able to open a chart for this symbol, then let us know. FB-NQTV will not work, as that is no longer the symbol. They are now traded under the symbol META, so you need to enter META-NQTV to get the Facebook data. Oh damn.. You're always on the ball, John! I think I've been staring at futures for too long. Haven't played around in the Equity world much. Thanks for clearing that up for me! However, the problem does persist with GOOGL. I've tried both GOOG, and GOOGL, but the data stops loading on July 15th. This isn't happening with any other symbols that I'm looking up, even if they've never been loaded before.

Actually, we can put this case to rest. I have retried the aforementioned steps, and the issue does seem to be resolved. As always, I appreciate your time.

Well, it did seem to work on Instance 1, however on instance 2 the data stops on July 15th. Does this have something to do with the stock split?

It will not have anything to do with the stock split. After all, you are getting the data on one instance, so you should be getting it on the other instance. Is this second instance a Sub-Instance (started with File >> New Instance) or is it a completely separate installation of Sierra Chart? If a completely separate installation, is it on the same computer as the first instance, or on a different computer? I have one installation on this computer, and I am running a sub instance. But, I do think I have figured out how to remedy it: I cleared all studies off of that particular chart, and then the data post-split decided to show up. I was then able to add the studies back to the chart, and the data remained. Some type of conflict with the studies and the post-split data. Interesting 🤔 |

In conclusion: I needed to remove all studies to get data to load. I then had to adjust the data for the 20:1 split. Once I did that, things seem to be working seamlessly across all time frames, with my studies added back.

Are any of the studies custom studies (not built-in studies from Sierra Chart)?

None, they are all from within Sierra. I was using a study-set that I had built on another chart book. Things that had data coming from other charts such as Study price overlay. There seemed to be a conflict between the candlestick/price data post-split and some of the studies on the chart. Can't pin-point exactly what it was, however what definitively worked was clearing all of the studies. Once I did that, the post-split price data via candlesticks appeared. Then I adjusted the pre-split data to match. After that I had no issues adding the study-sets back to the chart.

Ok. Let us know if you have any issues again. From what you are stating, this should not have occurred, but we do not think we can figure anything out now that everything is working again.
