Hi, I understand it will available with IB sometime in the future, I appreciate the time and effort you put in. Question 1: In order to use this routing service, do I have to use Chart Trade or I can still place trade in IB's TWS? Question 2: If I have to use Chart Trade, is it possible to uncheck "Show Order and Position" when Chart Mode is on? Thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-01-06 18:13:36

No, this service would never be supported by Interactive Brokers. They have their own systems. Question 2: If I have to use Chart Trade, is it possible to uncheck "Show Order and Position" when Chart Mode is on? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi Im with AMP. Are they not involved in this? How does this order routing compare to CQG WebAPI? Worth changing brokers over? Thank you. |

The OCO orders are server managed only after the order is executed or even while waiting for waiting for order fill?

The following sentence from the Introduction section of the SC Teton Futures Order Routing suggests that bracket orders which is the term for an oco order attached to an parent are sent to the server with the parent: "With some of the other supported Trading services, the bracket order management is on the client side with a much higher delay from when the parent order fills, to when the Target and Stop orders are transmitted." Im with AMP. No this is not supported by AMP.Are they not involved in this? How does this order routing compare to CQG WebAPI?
Zero cost as compared to $0.10 per fill.Ultralow latency and server-side OCO and bracket orders unlike CQG which are managed on the client-side. Multiple year order fill history with position quantity, unlike 1 day of fills with CQG. Advanced risk management. No order rejections due to position limits when flattening a position. No rejections based upon margin when using Attached Orders. Auto liquidation when daily loss limit has been met. CQG does not have this. Low latency order routing direct with colocation with the CME. CQG does not have this. Triple redundant Internet connectivity. No connection issues or login lockouts, as long as you do not have any Internet connectivity issues. Many other items. Full feature list is here: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Introduction Worth changing brokers over?
Yes overwhelmingly so. Once you understand the differences, there is not even a comparison to CQG. CQG is not acceptable to use due to how the bracket orders work. Especially for someone in Australia with high latency. Your order handling is going to be much safer. The OCO orders are server managed only after the order is executed or even while waiting for waiting for order fill? Fully managed on the server from the original parent order submission from Sierra Chart in an ultralow latency environment. 1 ms as compared to hundreds of milliseconds when using CQG.In regards to post #8, yes that is a correct understanding. Ok it is now clear what the specific concern is with AMP. And also based on other inside information we have. What they are concerned about, is server loading when there are for example like ~1000 accounts. This is a nonissue. And is our plan anyway, that we would use a separate server for AMP customers. And that is not a problem, no noticeable load with 1000+ users. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I have been using AMP for years. As soon as AMP supports the Teton Order Routing Service, I will switch over to Teton without hesitation.

When will this "proof" be available for them? They have not asked. And this concern, is without any merit whatsoever. And we have clearly indicated that to them previously. The concern, is void of all merit. We understand the issues they had with TT ( "Load-balancing"). "Load-balancing" issues do not exist at all with the Teton Order Routing System. Unless the numbers start getting up into the area, of maybe 5000+ users per process. However, at that level delays would still be within the millisecond range. So nowhere even remotely close to the delays they suffered with TT which would be like an hour from what we heard if we remembered correctly. Although if there are a lot of queries for historical order fills, those are handled one at a time and there could be delays of perhaps a minute at times serving those but we can move that to multiple threads. And those queries do not impact order routing. They are handled in another thread. Although before that number of users we would use multiple processes and servers for general safety reasons. The order routing program, Sierra Chart, is highly efficient when used in this way and very stable and can easily handle 1000+ users per process with very low latency. Although in order to maintain efficiency, and for general safety reasons, we would advise probably to keep not more than 2000 users per server. And per server we can always use multiple processes to distribute users. And also a server, has enormous processing capacity, and order routing is a very very lightweight operation. We would have to calculate this but it would seem as though the excess processing capacity is probably a 1000 times more than is actually needed. Looks like AMP has a TETON option now as well, maybe this is a new development since previously they didn't as far as I know.
