Hi - I have am using multiple instances of Sierra on multiple monitors, and I often use the keyboard to change chart bar period/type. However, because my instances are on separate monitors, I sometimes inadvertently change the chart settings on the wrong chart/instance. :( For example, Sierra instance #2 on monitor B will be the active application window, but I'll be looking at a chart in Sierra instance #1 on monitor A. I'll want to change the bar period on the instance #1 chart, but will end up messing up instance #2 because that was the active app. Is there a way to "lock" charts that I don't accidently mess them up? |

Curious about this, would be nice to "lock" all charts so can't accidently move them.

There is no support for not allowing Keyboard Shortcuts for specific charts. The same is true for the use of the Bar Period shortcuts through the interface (such as typing '1-m-<enter>' to change to a 1 minute bar period). The one item that does have a control along these lines, although it is a global option, is for "Global Settings >> Charts >> Support Symbol Entry from Chart Window". Refer to the following: General Settings Window: Support Symbol Entry from Chart Window (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Symbol) In terms of locking a chart so it does not accidentally move, the main thing for this is to set the selected Tool to be "Pointer" and to set the Mouse Scroll Wheel options to "No Scroll Wheel Support". We recognize that these are not perfect solutions, we just want to make sure you are aware of these options. Thanks for the reply, I guess I meant the Chart Windows withing the chart book. I have a chart book with 8 charts open, sometimes I move them by accidentally grabbing the outline. Is there an option for that?

There is not an option to not allow for changing the size of a window. We do not think there is anything within the Windows Operating System that would prevent this, but that would be your best option for something like this - maybe a third party tool of some kind.
