Rithmic data starts new downloading historical charts on opening

Hi, Lately on the ES / NQ opening my charts starts to downloading historical data which I find really strange because it already downloaded it before so why again at the opening. I want to trade the opening but the downloading start and takes about 7 min. Can you please let me know how to avoid that Sierra is doing this downloading all the time. Once a day is enough. I am using Rythmic and didn't have any problems in the past regarding this problem with Rithmic. Thanks a lot, Anita |

In general, when you start Sierra Chart and open a Chartbook, it is going to try to download the missing data from the last time it was connected to the data feed. The only way to stop this is to stop all data from loading. There is not much else we can do, as this is related to the old Rithmic connection, and we do not give any technical support for that interface. Hi, Thanks for your answer. Is the "stop all data from loading' an option I can work with after all historical data has downloaded for the first time? Where can I find this option? Also I am working on a combine and they all work with Rithmic. Already thanks for your answer, Anita |

Hi John, This seem pretty complicated and it also state that it will stop the realtime data. Can you advise something that works for me. Maybe trigger delete and downloading data just 10 minutes before the opening? The thing is my charts are already running so there is no need for historical download at the opening. Also you say to not service the Rithmic data but what other option do I have when working on a trading Combine? Already thanks, Anita |

So you already have Sierra Chart open and the chart is up to date with the data, and then it starts a data download again? Always at the Open of the trading day? It still sounds like a Rithmic issue, where you are losing your connection to Rithmic at that time. There really is not much we can do about this right now. We are getting close to having the new Rithmic connection working, which Rithmic has been working on and we are doing testing with them. Once that is ready, things should work better.
