orders are getting stuck - when I try to cancel it says pending and just sits there I am connecting with GAIN. This happened in the past before - only solution was to stop using bracket order. Now the problem is back and even regular orders are getting stuck in the system. I even disabled server side OCO. Any solution to this? Last time this happened I was told to just stop using GAIN. If that is the final solution then I guess I will need to switch to CQG. Thank you |

This is going to be a Gain Capital server problem. See if reconnecting to the data feed helps: File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers What is the Service Order ID of one of those orders? We will let them know about the problem. You can determine that through the Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Orders tab. This is from Gain Capital: I show that order as cancelled. If the client has any questions, please have them contact their broker, Stage 5 Trading. We have followed up with them and told them that this happens on the FIX server and it is an issue they need to resolve. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Yea thats pretty frustrating. I am surprised I am the only one with that issue. It was working fine yesterday. Now when I enter a 1 lot order - 2 limit orders shows up. When I hit cancel - 1 cancels and the other one hangs and says pending. Then eventually times out saying "Canceling due to no order update from server. For trade account" Thanks. I'll be switching over to CQG. |

Gain Capital wants more details in regards to this. We could do that analysis, but really we thought that they would recognize a problem and do some testing. We would have to get the FIX log from you to check on this. Really also, a single order ID, is sufficient. They can look to see where it was canceled and see if there was a response. This is not difficult. Now when I enter a 1 lot order - 2 limit orders shows up. When I hit cancel - 1 cancels and the other one hangs and says pending. Then eventually times out saying "Canceling due to no order update from server. For trade account" This indicates an order matching problem. We could not reproduce this and we did a code review, and Sierra Chart is using proper unique client order IDs. It would be unlikely that anything would be going wrong with that.
