No Live Data Anymore

Hello Support,

It started yesterday when I booted up my laptop at work to start trading and I could not get live data... I did not make any changes to anything other than purchase a month of Sierra over the weekend and everything was working fine on Monday and Tuesday... I have refreshed and reconnected a hundred times and no new data... only historical.

I haven't changed anything. Can you please let me know what I need to do to fix this problem?

I am currently in a combine with TopStep Trader and using their CTS T4 connection and they said the problem is not on their end.

These are the instructions to follow if anyone has difficulties with versions beyond 997 when using CTS Simulation server:

Use version 997 of Sierra Chart which uses the T4 API:
http://www.sierrachart.com/downloads/997SierraChartSetup.exe

If you will be using your existing Chartbooks after going back to version 997, you will need to use a backup Chartbook. Here are the instructions:

The symbols that version 997 and earlier use for CTS are different. You can find the symbols through File >> Find Symbol. To make sure you have only the Symbols relevant to the version being used, we recommend selecting Global Settings >> Symbol Settings. Press the Full Reset button. Wait for the symbol list to fill and then press OK.

You can update the symbols of existing charts by following the instructions here:

So frustrating... I am only having this problem on my laptop and not my desktop computer... I updated like it shows and am opening new charts, workspaces and my data stops on 9/10 at 9:47am EST... I keep refreshing/reloading/updating and nothing... My other computer works fine and data is live and current.

I am wondering if this has something to do with windows 8... It kind of seems like it did an update around that time. Could that be possible?
Please help...

You're not alone. I downgraded to 997 and could not get current data no matter what I did after religiously followed SC instruction/recommendation. However, this issue went away when I tried to install SC on my home PC.

I use a VPS that runs windows server 2008 for trading, and my home PC runs windows 7. So I don't think it's related to windows 8 or any operation system.

Too bad I'm not a full time trader and can stay at home all day. I cannot use my office PC for trading either since SC would be blocked by corporate firewall. VPS is my only option, until last week when this issue happened to me, and many SC users.

We see there was a timeout with downloading of historical data, retry downloading the missing data by following the instructions in help topic 7.1 here:

We see no indication from this Message Log of any problem receiving the real-time market data. However, that in itself does not mean there is not an external problem.
