Hi SC, it seems my charting data for jpy is showing only 5 places after the decimal, though IB is showing 7 and thus making it difficult to trade jpy. Solution?

The symbol settings have been updated for this symbol to show 7 decimal places.

Apply them to the chart following the instructions here:

thx SC, but I think it is a little more difficult since I am taking the data from SC Historical and renaming it to the IB format. After making the adjustments in the global settings the amount of places to the right of the decimal are then in-sync with IB, but as soon as I connect to IB, then it adds three more additional places and puts it out of sync once again.

You do not need to do this. Sierra Chart has supported downloading data direct from the Sierra Chart Historical Data service when using Interactive Brokers, probably for about a year now.

then it adds three more additional places and puts it out of sync once again.
This is impossible for us to properly comprehend unless we see exactly what you are seeing and know exactly what you are doing. Anyway, none of this is really relevant.

Make sure that Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is checked.

Do not make any adjustments to the Global Symbol Settings for this symbol with its tick size or multiplier. Those are set correctly and we will not support any changes to them. Therefore, update the Symbol Settings to the default before downloading the data.

Re-download the data in the chart with Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

ok, but when I try an IB format with SC Historical data feed, then I get a message "download failed". Maybe you can elaborate on the procedure please.

Please see pic: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1437989395586.png

Have ensured this is checked

PS how much data time is available for jpy?

In regards to "Download failed" we need to see the Message Log. Here are instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#log

There should be at least five years of Intraday data available.

The last activity in the Message Log indicates you are using the Sierra Chart Historical Data service. Do not use that service. Restart Sierra Chart, and set Sierra Chart to use IB and only open a chart for JPY futures by selecting the symbol through File >> Find Symbol. Do not open any other charts.

Re-Download the data in the chart with Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

Please follow our procedures, because otherwise, it becomes exceptionally hard for us to figure out what you are doing.

After this if you still have a problem post the Message Log again. But you should not have any problem if you follow these standard procedures.

ok, but there seems to be a hole in the data from 14.12.2013 to 12.06.2015

We apologize. The link we gave in the prior post was not directly to the section to re-download the data. Here it is:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading

The previous post has been corrected.
