Having connection issues with TD Ameritrade Streamer today on second computer set-up using TD Ameritrade data feed only. The Data/Trade Service Setting, Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feed is unchecked. Not sure if this is software issue or an issue with TD Ameritrade data feed. I've sent the Message Log for analysis, please review the bottom half of the message log. The TD Ameritrade Streamer worked fine yesterday, but not today. Could you please validate this issue on your end? Thanks for your outstanding support!

Additional update on post above: On my first computer set-up using Sierra Chart Version 1231 with TD Ameritrade and Sierra Chart Real Time data feed the QuoteBoard Bid, Ask, BidSize and AskSize are not updating. Chart data is also experiencing the same issue. Not sure what is going on with the data feed. Could you please validate this issue on your end. Thanks again for your support.

Third Update: The second issue has been resolved. First computer set-up is now working, but the second computer set-up is still having the same issues as reported in the top post.

This is the problem:
TD Ameritrade | Streamer request #81 sent. | 2015-02-12 09:59:22
HTTP request #81 returned the following error: Windows error code 12031: The connection with the server was reset | 2015-02-12 09:59:22
Lost the connection with the streamer. (Request 81) Will re-request data. | 2015-02-12 09:59:22

You can only connect once to TD Ameritrade per TD Ameritrade username.

If you are still having a problem with one connection refer to this section here about HTTP errors:

Thank you for the reply.

I've been using this 2 computer set-up since 2009 with two different TD Ameritrade accounts which have two different user names and passwords. The two computer set-up had no issues yesterday, the issue only occurred today. I've tried the following to corrected the TD Ameritrade Streamer connection issue.

1. Install the latest pre-release 1231 with old spreadsheets.

2. Tried connecting to TD Ameritrade account with 2nd computer only - one data connection only. No change in issue.

3. Changed user name and password to the other TD Ameritrade account and still have the same issue with only one data connection.

4. Internet Explore is installed and not set to offline.

5. Checked McAfee Firewall and Sierra Chart has full access. No changes have been made to the McAfee Security System.

6. Rebooted system and relaunch Sierra and still the same issue.

7. The connection to TD Ameritrade account is successful, but it will not establish a successful streamer connection. I've sent a 2nd message log for your analysis, about 2 hours ago.

Any other suggestions would be helpful after you reviewed this data. Thanks again for your support!

The other Message Log shows the same problem. We do not know why it is happening. It is some network issue or a TD Ameritrade server issue.

Thanks for the reply and reviewing the 2nd message log. I've completed the following actions since my last post.

1. Completed full system recovery using my last backup image.

2. Installed Sierra Chart Version 1231 with old spreadsheets.

3. Established successful data feed connection with TD Ameritrade and Sierra Chart Real Time data feed on 2nd computer. The [M] indicator was visible on top line of chart.

4. Disconnected from data feed and set-up data feed for TD Ameritrade Service only. Uncheck - Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds.

5. Connected to TD Ameritrade data feed and receive the same error message; Windows error code 12031: The connection with the server was reset - Lost the connection with the streamer.

Could you please try and reproduce this issue on your end with your TD Ameritrade Account? It would be interesting to see if you have the same issues or not. I'm not sure why I can't connect to the trading account only when I have Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is UNCHECKED. I was also running only one copy of Sierra Chart during this test. Thank you for your patience and outstanding support, but I'm currently lost at trying to solving this issue. Any suggestion on how to proceed would be greatly helpful.

We are not observing any reset with the connection to the TD Ameritrade server using our TD Ameritrade account.

Let us know if you are still having a problem. We do not think TD Ameritrade would be able to help much with this.
