Symbols problem with CTS

in january, several futures contracts stopped working properly. QM, ZN, ZF specifically. I did note that the symbols for ZN changed from ZN.20150600.CME to ZN.20150600.CME_F. I am correctly provisioned and can see/trade these in the cts t4 platform, so i know that side is good. here is a screenshot showing them side by side. i see this behavior on those three symbols. i have already forced and overwrite update for the global symbols. |

ZN.20150600.CME_F is definitely a valid symbol. We have confirmed this now. sent via 'send for analysis'. I cleared the log. switched from ES to ZN.20150600.CME_F waited several minutes, then sent log. Please let me know if i can collect any other data to help. |

The CTS account you are connected to is not recognizing the symbol: CTS T4 FIX | Sending security definition request for symbol ZN.20150600.CME_F | 2015-02-11 12:03:24 CTS T4 FIX | Received 0 security definitions for underlying symbol ZN | 2015-02-11 12:03:24 The other problem is every time there is a connection to the CTS historical data server, there is no data received and the connection is closed. It is best to focus on the problem of why this symbol is not being recognized. Are you sure your CTS settings in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings are correct. It really is very clear there is some authorization problem with your CTS account and really you have to put full reliance on your broker and clearing firm to resolve this for you. I am able to trade it using these credentials using the cts platform. I am also able to trade in sierra cl es ym tf and a host of others. I am not sure what other steps i could take to 'reset' things. |

so i did a fresh install of sierra to a new directory and everything is working. So its clear something is tweaked in the settings somewhere. My primary goal is to somehow reset those server settings without having to reconfigure all my tool preferences etc. Is there a specific file that i can go after? |

This is odd. We would not expect this to have made any difference. The only settings which might have an impact on this, but that is not completely clear, would be the Symbol Settings. thank you for the help. Unfortunatly, the full reset was not successful. to resolve this i did the following: 1) created new working fresh install 2) confirmed account was working and correctly receiving data 3) copied new GlobalSymbolSettings.xml and Accounts.config over to old install 4) created new chartbook in old install 5) received updated security CTS T4 FIX | Sending security definition request for symbol QM.20150300.CME_NY | 2015-02-11 13:50:21

There is no reason why steps 1 through 3 were necessary. We are not sure as to why previously there was a problem with security definition lookup from the CTS system.
