I current use sierra charts, AMPfutures broker, teton order routing, and denali market data. I want to switch to Rithmic order routing. I put in a request at my broker for Rithmic order routing but I'm wondering if I need to buy their market data or if I can just stick to using the denali market data that I am currently using. |

You can continue to use the Denali data and use Rithmic for just the order routing. Since you are actually changing the order routing you would need to follow the instructions at the following link to change your setup to Rithmic: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions But we have to wonder why you want to change from using Teton - as since you are staying with AMP, you must still be trading the CME Group. And we are a bit worried that you will have issues with Rithmic, even just for order routing. Because I dont want to look like a retail trader to these high frequency algos. I notice multiple times, the exact second I enter a position, something pushes the price the other way. I know you're going to say this is unlikely because of how big the market is, but I want to do some testing myself to determine if that's the case. The facts are, algos know where orders are routed from and broker IDs so I'm sure they have built that into their algos to spot retail traders. I would if I were a quant. Im actually trying to open an account at Dorman Trading and plan to use rithmic routing there but in the meantime, while I wait for account approvals, I'd like to try amp+rithmic order routing. My goal is for my trades to look as close to institutional traders as possible. Why would I have issues with rithmic? |

We have seen a lot of issues with Rithmic over the years. But there is not a single thing we could point to and say "You will have a problem with this". It's just a random thing, although the most common is the amount of time it takes to respond to an order. Hopefully you will simply not have an issue.
