Symbol List and Data Issues After Switching Connections

I have CQG data through my broker, and when I originally set up my charts, everything worked fine. However, when I attempted to connect to my APEX prop account, the connection was successful, but the symbol list was empty. Additionally, no live data was coming in—only historical data up until the moment I switched the connection.

I tried updating the server list and translating the symbols to the current service, but nothing changed. Unable to resolve the issue, I switched back to my CQG connection. However, now the symbol list is also empty on CQG, and one of my instruments (YM) displays a message stating that I don’t have data for it.

For the instruments that do not show a data warning, live data is still working.

Could you help me resolve this issue and restore my symbol list and missing data?

When we hear of a window being blank, that typically means that your computer is low on resources.

Reboot your computer and only start Sierra Chart after it comes back up and see if you continue to have an issue.

Also, be sure when you change services that you update the symbols as each service uses a different symbology. If you forget, then select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" to update them.

After you answered this, I checked my symbol list and it was still empty, but then it appeared after a few seconds. Not sure why I'm having an issue trying to get the symbol list with Apex, but maybe I need to wait like I had to with this one. Might need to install another instance for just Apex. Anyway, I updated the symbols and everything is fine as it was. Thanks

There was a change to the symbols list that caused this. The solution, as you found, was to update the symbols. We apologize for the issue.
