Hi: Had an issue today at 10:00am EST. Bracket Sell Limit order was placed on MNQ, price moved quickly up and filled the order and continued above the stop loss without triggering the stop and the log shows: Rithmic Direct - DTC (Order reject). Info: buy order stop price must be above trade price To get out of the trade I had to Flatten obviously exiting at a way higher price. I understand dynamic market changes could create these scenarios, my question here is if this is a specific issue with Rithmic or should I expect the same with Teton? can I reclaim or place a dispute with (this is prop firm) the prop firm outlining this? is this Sierra not executing timely on Rithmic? what can I do to prevent this? Log attached, I understand this is not made public, there is one for the account in question and there is one that states .none but it is the most recent one, don't know if this is needed. Note I am interested on knowing why this unwanted behavior happened but I would not want to pay extra fees for analysis or anything, I understand your time is valuable nonetheles. Thank you |

We see the Sell Stop trying to be placed at a price of 20379.50 once the parent orders fill. But we are not seeing an acceptance of those orders by Rithmic, but eventually you get the error that the "buy order stop price must be above trade price". It looks like Rithmic did not process the Buy Stop orders fast enough to get them on the market prior to the price moving higher than 20379.50. Then when Rithmic finally did get around to it, the price was above the Stop, so the Stop could not be placed. Thank you for the answer. 1. There is no service where you "queue" the entire bracket on the exchange or trading service? 2. Compared with Teton, and I know this is very subjective, would you say that Teton with S5 should be more reliable or this could be avoided? |

1. It depends on the service you are using. Apparently Rithmic does not do this. 2. Teton will be much more reliable, and these kind of orders (a Limit order with attached orders) are held on our servers to be set to the exchange when the parent order fills. But, you can not use Teton with a Prop Firm. The Prop Firms mostly use Rithmic due to their accessibility to the CME Group data.
