Hello Support Running 2 separate Installations. And Sierra Chart Automatically switch ALL OF THE INSTANCES in the main installation to the order accounts for the second installation. The first instance in the Main installation is still on the original trade accounts. SIERRA IS AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHING TRADE ACCOUNTS ON RECONNECTING. AUTOMATICALLY UPDATING THE SYMBOLS AND ACCOUNTS TO THE WRONG TRADE ACCOUNT AND DATA CONNECTIONS. How is this to be fixed? How is Sierra supposed to be reliable if it AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHES TRADE ACCOUNTS? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-02-12 03:15:14

Sierra Chart does not automatically change trade accounts like this. In the instance or instances where you see this, what you must be doing is connecting Sierra Chart to a different Trading service or a different username on that service, which uses different trading accounts. Therefore, the account that you have selected within a particular chart, is not available. So that chart will select the first actual known account. It sounds like what you probably have done is that your new installation, is acting as a DTC Server to these sub instances because using the same listening port number. Disable the DTC Protocol Server in that new instance: Sierra Chart Server Settings: Enable DTC Protocol Server (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> DTC Protocol Server) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
