One thing that I really liked was being able to set config's to be able to put the name of the "line" on the line without having to draw the line, then go to another menu and select modify text the have a test box pop up, that I usually have to resize, then type what I want on the line. Being able to have this labeled lines ready to go saved so much time. When you "updated" your tools you removed this function. WHY??? This was such a valuable time saver and now ..... well PLEASE PUT THIS BACK FOR THE TOOLS, ALL THE TOOLS !!!! AS well as bring back the text on tools could you please add a button to center text not just left and right justify. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-01-03 04:13:35

We had a look, and this option does exist on the Line configuration, not an existing Line drawing, but the configuration which does not require an existing Line: Copy Tool Config Name To Text:No/Yes And you can specify, the name on the Save Configuration tab. Although we do see a small issue with the behavior of the Tool Configuration Name, which we will solve but it still functioning properly. Yes we will work on this: could you please add a button to center text not just left and right justify.

So what you are saying is that I have to go to the tool config, set what I want the tool to be permanently then save it, and if I want it to have a different text other than the permanently configured text I have to reconfigure the tool again? ...and why is this option not listed on the current tool drop down menu when I edit the tool? For example, if I have want two lines.... I have configured the tool to be lets say TGT 1 I draw the line and is has the text "TGT 1" If I want another line I have to draw the line which will say "TGT1" then I have to open 'modify text' and rewrite the new txt that I need it to say "TGT 2" ? And there is no way to have multiple configs with different "texts" on my drop down menu and select the pre-config setting like it used to be before you eliminated the old tool preference window? It feels like Sierra Chart is moving further and further into the 1980's. I know you are trying to make SC more efficient and run faster but at a certain point it just becomes more burdensome to use. There are 24 drawing configurations per drawing Tool, each with a different name that can be copied as text to the drawing. Nothing has changed. Everything you require is all still there and unchanged. When you refer to "drop down menu" where is this menu you are referring to? There are numerous Tool and Drawing related menus and the context in which they are used does affect them. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. The Horizontal Line Non-Extended Works well. I tested it and great. Awesome. The Line tool will not change text. It keeps the text that it was originally created with. Tested it several times. The Horizontal Ray tool will put the original text it was created with only if I include the price the line is sitting on. But it will not change text. Properties will change ie. color, style, but the text will not change. Seems like if price is on, the text will not change, but if I go back to a config that has no price the text will change. Then if I go to a config that has no text, the text stays but the properties of the line will change. Also, what is 'Mark 0' and 'Mark 1' for ? Anyway, I will mess with it and see if I can get it set the way I would like it. |

Also, what is 'Mark 0' and 'Mark 1' for ? These draw small rectangles at the beginning and end of a drawing. We have done a thorough review of the issue, and some changes have been made. Although we were not able to reproduce the problem. There was an issue with Ray drawings with the copying of the configuration name/label to the drawing text. This will be resolved. We will have a new release out today. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point.
