I have 2 installations of SC and recently added a 3rd. The third one just does not perform right. I try to drag the screen with the hand tool and theres a delay. There's a delay with all the commands. I try to scroll the DOM with my mouse wheel and there's a lag. If I run it up with the other 2 SC installations, it completely freezes. My PC usage is nowhere near 100% with all 3 running. And below 20% with one. How do I fix this? This lag happens with just the 3rd installation running and no other programs, so it is not a computer horsepower or internet lag issue. |

Are all 3 of these installations on the same computer? Are all 3 of these installations completely separate from one another? Are any of them started using "File >> New Instance"? Please tell us the following settings in the instance in which you are having a problem: - Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Data Files Folder - Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Always Use 'Data' Folder Within Main Folder And for this instance that is having a problem, please tell us the full path to the main installation folder (i.e. C:\SierraChart3 or wherever you have it installed). Yes, all 3 installations are on the same computer and all have their own folders. None are started with File Instance The 3rd installation is D;\Sierra Chart 3 Data Files Folder = D:\Sierra Chart 3\Data\ Always use data folder is set to YES Here's a video of the problem: https://youtu.be/haCmwm3t5UU Time tags for the video: 1:40 - I open up the 3rd installation with the other 2 already open. Loads for the next 2 minutes 4:15 to 5:10 - shows what I'm seeing on my end & installation 3 being frozen / laggy 6:15 - I open up ONLY the 3 installation 8:00 - Finishes Installing and I show it is frozen 9:20 - I open up installation #1 with installation 3 frozen to show that installation 1 works fine. Note that installation 3 does not do replays either. It runs them the screens are fairly blank. |

We cannot be spending debugging time, helping with these types of issues. You simply have to go through the information here: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often This is simply, a local computer computing power and resource issue. We run sometimes 20 or more copies of Sierra Chart on a single server. There are no issues. But of course these are very capable systems, having a minimum of 40 CPU cores. Sometimes even over 100 cores, hundreds of gigabytes of memory, and multiple NVME drives. Another thing that we recommend you do, is put each installation of Sierra Chart on its own solid-state drive on the computer. So add an additional solid-state drive to the computer. You may also want to add more additional memory to your computer, and increase the core count of the CPUs. Sierra Chart is extremely efficient, and really you probably should not need much in the way of hardware upgrades. But we definitely do recommend adding at least another solid-state drive to the computer and putting one or two copies of Sierra Chart on there. It wasn't a system usage issue. I got it to run all 3 installations running. It was an issue with some corrupt files. Also I updated my version to the current version (2700 as of now) and I think that helped too.
