Hi, a very negligible issue / question - I have just updated Sierra from 2657 to 2700. It seems like in this new version the region dividing line doesn't show. I have two instances of Sierra and up until now I thought the Update function would update both instances. Luckily it didn't and second instance remained at an older version which allowed me to check the performance on older version. I have "Display Region Dividing Line" = YES and also colour of the line not matching the chart background colour - see screenshot of both versions side-by-side. The new version also has the frame line width adjustment (whereas the older Sierra doesn't) so I assume there has been some updates made to this function but for some reason the line now doesn't show at all in the new version. Any advice why could this be? |

We are not seeing any issue with the Region Dividing Line in the current Pre-Release. Please update to the latest Pre-Release (v 2704) and make sure the "Region Dividing Line" in the Graphics Settings is set to the color you want it to be. In the image, you do not have the Region Dividing Line selected, so we do not know what color it is set to. Follow these instructions to update: Software Download: Fast Update Just to make sure it is understood - if you have multiple installations, then each installation needs to be updated separately. If you are starting a new instance through "File >> New Instance", then when you update the main instance the sub-instances will be updated as well. John thank you for the support - it is now sorted. The problem was that I had the same colour for the region dividing line as the background. Can it be that "Region Dividing Line" is a completely new setting in 2700 onwards in colour settings? Please note that documentation says I should be using "Chart Scale Border" to set the colour (see the quote below from documentation) which I was following and wasn't aware of "Region Dividing Line". After your message I changed the colour and it now works fine. You may want to consider updating the documentation in the link. Display Region Dividing Lines (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Grid menu)
Chart Settings: Display Region Dividing Lines (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Grid menu)[Link] - [Top] When this option is enabled, then a horizontal dividing line will be displayed at the boundary of chart regions. The color of the region dividing lines is controlled through the Chart Scale Border color setting in the Graphics Settings window. If the dividing lines do not appear, make sure the Chart Scale Border color is not set to be the same as the Chart Background color. Regarding 2 sierra iterations - I have "File >> New Instance"; when I updated 26957 to 2700 it somehow updated only the main instance. Now that I have updated to 2704 Pre-Release - both versions got updated. Thank you for your help. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-11-12 21:07:08

The "Region Dividing Line" is a new entry. We will have to update the documentation. Sorry for the confusion on that. With regards to the updates, make sure you exit from all sub-instances before you do the update in the main instance. The sub-instances will update to the new version when they are started (there is a check at that time).
