Hey Engineering,
I don't know where to post this, but I just reverted to latest stable 51585 since the prerelease is unusable, so I wanted to report it.
If I open my subinstance, the main one become frozen/unresponsive.
Thanks!

We are not seeing any issues with Sub-Instances in the latest releases.

Were you opening a sub-instance that you had not opened before? In this case, the files need to be copied, so it can take a minute for everything to update?

Otherwise, we would need to see your Message Log to see if there is something in there. We would like for you to do the following for use:
- Update to the latest Pre-Release (v 2702).
- Select "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log".
- Set the option for "Save Message Log to File" to "Yes".
- Select OK to close that window.
- Open the Sub-Instance in whatever manner you use to do this.
- If the main instance "locks up" for more than 5 minutes, then get us the saved Message Log which will be in the "Logs" folder under your main Sierra Chart instance. You will need to find the appropriate file based on the date and time that are saved as part of the Message Log filename.

After the above is done, if you want to reset the saving of the Message Log, then be sure to set the option back to "No".

Increase your Chart Update Interval. Refer to the version update notes here:

@John - no, I had no problem with the subinstance, the main one would freeze as soon as the sub instance loaded.

Increasing chart update interval from my global 100ms seems to have fixed it. I have it now at 200ms, I don't know if there's any side effect. I'm scalping orderflow (30 s chart, 5t rev and dom). Will see how it goes.
Thanks

The reason for the increase in the Chart Update Interval is due to a change to how timers are handled. This in turn has an effect on how the Chart Update Interval worked and a slower update value gives the same results, giving an overall decrease in resource utilization for the same interactivity.
