Trade Activity Log does not appear

Hello,

since one week the Trade Activity Log does not appear when I click on it.

I did not change something and I have no explanation. It worked well but suddenly during that session it did not appear. I tried it several times during the next days but it does not show.

I have many charts open but I cannot find it even when I close the charts. Usually it appears over the charts and can be seen instantly and it is not behind the charts.

It may be that I changed the screen resolution on that day. But I changed it back and tried other resolutions but Trade Activity Log does not show. The other windows, Trade Orders and Positions and so on, do appear as usual. Software was updated last week before the problem. But at first Activity Log showed up as usual after the update. I never had this problem before.

Can you please help?

The Trade Activity Log is appearing off-screen somewhere. Select "Window >> Reset Windows" to reset the position of the Trade Activity Log (along with other certain windows) to recover it. Refer to the following:
Window, CB and CW Menus: Reset Windows (Window)

Hello,

I am really sorry to ask again.

I tried "Reset Window" but nothing happens then. The Trade Activity Log still does not appear. I tried several other things but even with a blank new chartbook it does not appear. Trade positions and trade orders and the other similar windows from that menu show up as usual but Trade Activity Log does simply not appear anywhere.

Is there any other option I could try to make it visible again?

We have heard of this a few times now. The only other option is to use the Windows tools to get the window from off-screen. Refer to the following:

It does work now when I use the shortcut. Trade Activity Log now appears as usual even without the shortcut.

I thought I'd lost the TAL a few times like you're describing.
It was there the whole time however I had to hover over the task bar icon for Sierra Chart, I could see it there in the detached charts list.
It doesn't minimize or restore the way the message log or alerts manager does. It also won't restore when you click TAL from the Trade menu.
It is a bit unintuitive, but once you know where to look, it is there. (unless of course it WAS offscreen)

Yeah, Trade Activity Log was there since my beginning of using the software.

But I had no chance to find it again 2 weeks ago and this happened all of a sudden.

Without help from SC support I think I would still be searching for it....

Thanks for describing your way of finding it. I will try this.

For me, the second way described by SC support worked fine.... I have 2 screens but I could not find it anywhere ..... so I am very glad now....

We have made a change, with Reset Windows, regarding the Trade Activity Log which will be out in the next release.

This should solve the issue if it is visible and maximized or minimized in an offscreen position.
