My chart keeps defaulting back to scale range: Automatic and its driving me nuts. I have continuously set it on independent and then 20 minutes later or something it goes back to automatic. I've gone to scale settings and tried to adjust it that way I click independent and then it just goes back to automatic. I have searched the forums for similar issues but only found ones from 2020 and they said it was fixed but now I am having the same problem. help!

If there are no other studies in that region, then setting the Main Price Graph to a scale of "Independent" is no different from setting it to "Automatic". We are not sure exactly why it is changing, but it really does not matter.

If there are other studies in that region (Region 1), and you want them to drive the scaling, then you would need to either make that study the "Main Price Graph" or move the Main Price Graph to a different region.

What exactly are you wanting to accomplish? We think there is a way to get to what you want, but it doesn't look like using "Independent" is the way to get there.

Well the main reason is when its on automatic it starts trying to size the candles itself rather than leaving them how I want them to be. Its really annoying.

You should see the exact same thing occurring with Independent.

But, either the "Constant Range" or "User Defined" would be the choice you want to make. The "Constant Range" has additional options for how to control where the last bar is located, so this may be the better option for you. It really depends on how you want the chart to move around (or not). Refer to the information starting at the following:
