Issue with Numbers Bars study with diagonal imbalances after latest update

I just updated my Sierra Chart to the latest version (2686).

After the update I noticed that imbalances are no longer correctly highlighted on my footprint chart.
I use a Numbers Bars study and have the Column 1 Text Coloring Method set to "Based on Diagonal Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage".

Imbalances on the bid are still highlighted correctly - but imbalances on the ask are not highlighted at all anymore for some reason.

I didn't change anything in my study/chartbook and immediately before the update everything was still working fine.

...just use "Separate"...

What exactly do you mean by this? Is it in the study settings? I might be missing it. Thank you!

Issue seems to be fixed if:

"Based on Separate Diagonal AskVol BidVol Percentage"

is used

There were changes to how the comparisons with zero and NULL values are handled in the Numbers Bars in the latest release. Refer to the following Input and the one below it:

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. Using the option "Separate Diagonal AskVol BidVol Percentage" indeed seems to fix the issue.

@John: Using these new options that you mentioned doesn't fix the issue because it's not only occuring at the highs/lows or when zeros are involved but I don't see any buy imbalances at all any more. Can you please confirm that it's intended that the option "Based on Diagonal Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage" doesn't work as before after the latest update? I simply cannot imagine that this is intended behavior.

...very much correct description of a problem and am very much interested in clarification of that
...it seems the option "Based on Diagonal Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage" has no functionality at all
...with "Separate..." everything works as intended

Sorry, we do see the error and we have fixed it. We will get a new release out as soon as we can. Look for Pre-Release 2689 which will have this corrected.

"Based on Diagonal Dominant Side AskVolBidVol Percentage" I get Diagonal BidVol side showing correctly and nothing shown on AskVol side
when I use option:
"Based on Separate AskVolBidVol Percentage" I get both sides work correctly !!!

There was an error in the "Based on Diagonal Dominant Side Ask Vol Bid Vol Percentage" option. We have fixed this and a new release is now out. Download Pre-Release 2689 for this fix. Follow these instructions to update:

The option "Based on Diagonal Dominant Ask Vol Bid Vol to Volume at Price Percentage" was also broken by the update and is not fixed in version 2691. For me Range 0 and 1 are not being colored as I set them up.

We just did some tests and we are not seeing a particular problem with this option. Please give us a chart that shows the issue by following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart

Please be sure to set the Time Zone for the chart to actual time zone you are using (i.e. if the Chart Time Zone is set to use the Global Time Zone, then please change this in the chartbook you send us to have the time zone actually set in the chart settings). This way we are seeing the same times you are.

And let us know a specific bar time and the values you are questioning.

Here is the chartbook. I am questioning every level that is colored black. If you look at the coloring options for column 1 (inputs 20 to 27) you will see that nothing should be colored black, everything is configured to be shades of blue / red.

You won't have any problem finding a bar where it happens, it is everywhere

The levels that are not colored are because there is not a dominant side at that level (i.e. both sides are non-dominant) or because there is a comparison with a zero value.

For example, look at the first bar in your image. We see the following within that bar:

114 172
5 132
0 62

The level in the middle with Bid | Ask of 5 | 132 is black - it has no coloring. This is because the Bid is not dominant (5 compared with 172), and the the Ask is not tested since it is compared with a Zero value and the Input for "Enable Bid/Ask Ratios with Zeros as Ones" is set to "No". Refer to the following for this new Input:
Numbers Bars: Enable Bid/Ask Ratios with Zeros as Ones

Further down in that same bar you have the following:
199 281
269 298
308 301

In this case neither bid or ask is dominant with the middle value (269 | 298). This comes about because you compare the Bid at that level (269) with the Ask at the next higher level (281) - therefore the Bid is not dominant. The Ask Side compares the Ask at that level (298) against the next lower Bid (308) and the Ask is not dominant, hence no coloring is applied.

Thank you, I understand.

We could previously color the non dominant side too with this background coloring method and that changed, hence my confusion.
Here is the exact same chart with version 2674.

We apologize that this is different from what occurred previously, but part of the work we did on the coloring was to align all of these options so they were working consistently per the way they are documented (and supposed to work) and to make the background coloring work in the exact same way as the text coloring (there were some differences in this).
