I am using SC Data (Denali), 1 instrument (ESZ24 atm). My weekly chart is taking hours to load when all other charts take a maximum of approx 1-2mins, even on full delete and download option. The chart eventually does load... hours/day later. I am not using tick data (1 second in most cases).

Here is the snippet from logs:

Wondering if I have missed a setting or perhaps have it reloading from one of my many custom studies - but doubt it as I have not changed anything recently, and most of my studies are also used in the other higher level timeframe charts and no issues there.

Keen to resolve as the weekly produces a few key levels I need...

Any suggestions/questions much appreciated.

For that weekly chart, check the setting for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Chart Data Type". See if this is set to "Intraday Chart Only". If so, then the weekly chart is being created from Intraday data, which will take longer to load than the Daily Historical data. Change this to "Historical Chart" in order to use the Daily data and have it load faster - unless you have some specific reason for using the Intraday data.

If the above is already set to "Historical Data" then the data should load relatively quickly. Is this setup to be a Continuous Futures Chart? If so, how many days of data are you loading?

Sincere thanks John,

Yes that makes sense re the intraday versus historical data retrieval time, explaining faster loading of those higher timeframe charts. I use VWAP standard deviations from the developing weekly (in realtime on my trading chart) so I assume I do need intraday data. It is a continuous futures contract volume based rollover back adjusted chart... 90 days bar period setting, which I occasionally beef up to 365 days to check out some past data.

I setup a 2TB NVME drive yesterday and dedicated that to SC alone, just to eliminate disk speed as an issue. Running: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16 cores 32 threads, Memory is DDR5 64 GB running at 6000 mhz, Graphics is Nvidia 4080, Hard drives are all NVME PCI Gen 4 drives, screens are all DELL OLED 32inch 4K

Yes you will need an Intraday chart for accurate Volume Weighted Average Price studies.

You can still use 1 Second data to decrease loading time:
