Hi team, I have a question re study price overlay study. There are 2 charts, first chart is 10 tick range chart (source chart) and the other chart is number of trade chart which is set to 1(destination chart) . I am overlaying color background based on alert from source chart to destination chart. I have a spreadsheet study on the destination chart. The issue I am facing is when the condition for color based background is true . It will highlight all the bars on destination chart starting from the time of start of bar and not when the condition is true. Hi Team, I have a question regarding the price overlay study. I am working with two charts: the first chart is a 10-tick range chart (source chart), and the second chart is a number-of-trades chart set to 1 (destination chart). I am overlaying a colored background on the destination chart based on an alert from the source chart. Additionally, I have a spreadsheet study on the destination chart. The issue I'm encountering is that when the condition for the color-based background is met, it highlights all the bars on the destination chart starting from the beginning of the bar, rather than when the condition actually becomes true. Can you please let me know if there is any input which can update it Thanks Pranav |

What you are seeing is correct functioning. When the condition is true in the source chart, the bar is colored. There is no information that tells the system when within the bar, the actual condition was met. Therefore, when you overlay that information to another chart, the destination chart bars that cover the same time period as the source chart bar that is colored, will be colored.
