Dear Sierra Chart Support, I am experiencing an issue with placing orders on the DOM while trading my Topstep Combine through Sierra Chart using Rithmic. The problem I am encountering is that my orders are being rejected without any error messages. Market orders are the only order type that seems to work, but limit and other order types are being rejected without any visible reason in the Trade Service Log or Message Log. I have already contacted Topstep regarding this issue, and they confirmed that there are no order rejections visible in their backend systems. They have advised me to reach out to you for further assistance. Additionally, I have thoroughly checked my Sierra Chart settings, verified account permissions, and reviewed all logs, but nothing appears out of the ordinary. Here are a few relevant details: I am using Sierra Chart connected to Rithmic for the Topstep Combine. Market orders are working, but other order types (e.g., limit, stop) are being rejected. There are no error messages or Trade Service logs indicating why the orders are rejected. Could you please help me investigate this issue? Follow-Up on Order Rejections in Topstep Combine via Rithmic (No Trade Service Log for Limit Orders) Dear Sierra Chart Support, Thank you for your prompt response. I would be happy to provide the Trade Service Log, but the issue I am facing is that the limit orders are not registering at all, so nothing appears in the log when I attempt to place them. The Trade Service Log only contains information for market orders, which are the only order type that currently works. This is probably the rejection you are getting when your orders are not going in, especially since we see how many of them there are. You would need to ask Rithmic about this error, as we do no know exactly what the limit is that they are referencing. Rithmic Direct - DTC (Order reject). Endegena, try trading your maximum contracts minus 1 in the TST combine. e.g. if you have a 3 lot combine, trade a maximum of 2 lots. That should allow you to enter and exit most trades without issue. Note, if you are moving target2 or stop2 while target1 or stop1 gets filled, you will have a b*tch of a time getting out of that position. You'll want to Flatten & cancel repeatedly plus mash the Insert key to refresh the chart. Only then, you'll get out when it lets you out. When you move on from Topstep, Denali and Teton Order Routing are the only way to go. |
