Hello,
I am a long time user of sierra chart and Denali data. I have never had an issue repeating like this.
On two occasions (NFP release 6. September and CPI release 11. September) I had complete freeze in the data stream. On the NFP I lost connection for 2-3mins. CPI similar but shorter. In the same office there is TT with (NFP and CPI release) there were 0 issues.

My current setup is -> Main sierra chart instance (not running any charts) and separate instances with charts and execution (DOM only). I haven't done any significant change in the past year to the PC or the way I have sierra chart setup.

Best regard
DK

We are looking into this.

And just for the record, we did not have this problem ourselves when monitoring. We did notice over a 30 seconds period during the economic data 8:30 AM US Eastern time, intermittently there was a delay, of 1 to 3 seconds about three times. This was noticed on just one of the server processes. Others might have been affected.

There were continuous updates and no interruptions.

We are doing configuration changes now which should solve the problem for you. We want you to set this setting:
Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special)

To:
DS14-2.SierraCharts.com

User325448,

Long term SC user here too and I'm in Portugal as well.

I've had the very same issues you described above lately and again today upon the releasing of the Unemployment Claims at 13:30 Portugal time (9:00 EST).

Could you please tell me if you had problems today at that time using the ds14-2.sierracharts.com server indicated by Sierra Engineering? Or was it ok?

I had zero issues yesterday, but I will update the thread if freezes occur.

User325448,

Thank you for your reply.

This has been a Sierra's ISP problem for Europe and SC Engineering is already working on it.

Hopefully the service will get back to normal very soon.

Regarding a server that will use our Cogent connection, we are delaying that a few days. We needed more time for testing.

Thank you for letting us know.

If somehow you feel it's useful to have someone on this side (Portugal) to help with some testing, just tell me.

Please let us know when it's done anyway.

I'm looking forward to having it working well again.
