Image shows two sets of highlighted bars. Formula segment shows essentials for shorting conditions for triggering an alert that are based on the second bar's body overlapping or equalling the first bar's body, accounting for this situation in the alert condition. Tan squares mark specific price levels. These levels appear to match and overlap correctly at the opposite ends of the two-candlestick short formations. Both sets of bars seem to satisfy the criteria for triggering a short alert. Despite meeting the criteria, only one example of this scenario has been flagged. The most likely answer is that there is something not quite right with your formula. But, this could also be a floating point rounding issue.
