Dear sierra,

hopefully this is sth for which you offer some advice. I have two Sierra instances, for my main one, I am using Apex and the Denali Feed. I downloaded a second instance a long time ago to log in once a month to make use of the discount. I want to use the second account more in the future to trade my own money.

I copied the whole data folder from my main instance to the second instance but now I dont know how to proceed. I changed the initial symbol (NQU4.CME) to NQ-202409-CME for all the charts as I got some error message saying sth like "there is no definitions" although all charts looked good using NQU4.CME. With the symbol NQ-202409-CME some charts now look messed up. As an example I attached a TPO chart for you. As you can see on the right scale the NQ prices dont even align with the price being at 210 for the NQ.

Now my question is what to do

1) what symbol is the right one to use for IB with Denali, NQU4.CME or NQ-202409-CME ?
2) I changed the symbol back to NQU4.CME and tried "delete and download for all charts" but I received the error in the second screenshot that I attached. Does this mean NQU4.CME is the wrong symbol to use?
3) what should I do to have my TPO chart displayed correctly?

1. The correct symbol for Interactive Brokers is "NQ-202409-CME". It does not matter that you are getting your data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, you need to use the appropriate symbol for the service you are connected to. In this case, it means using the Interactive Brokers symbols for your charts. We do the job of converting the symbols on our end so you get the right data from us.

2. This is because that is the incorrect symbol for your service.

3. Make sure you have your service set to "Interactive Brokers" and that your symbols are correct. To make sure you have the correct symbols for your charts, open your Chartbooks and select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service". Refer to the following:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

For each symbol, go to a chart and select "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". This will then download the data for that symbol from our Denali Exchange Data Feed and ensure you have all the data for each symbol.

You only need to do the above once for each symbol not for each chart.

thank you

i have a final question on IB. I understand that you are tired of answering user questions on IB and I did read this thread

Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Trading Related Issues

Just want to find out if there has been a fix in the meantime. The target and entry lines disappear shortly after entering the trade, flatten does not work and the P/L reverts to 0 although I am still in the trade. The trade activity log does refelct the trade.

As I said you can just say I need to contact IB, but still just wanted to make sure nothing can be done here on your side.
