hi i have a tradovate account and would like to connect it to get live data. i want to use denali data so the question is do i need to buy CQG from tadovate or do i need to buy denali from sierra? how i do get live data? many thanks

Due to the fact that Tradovate does not allow for connectivity with Sierra Chart, this will not work. What are the exchanges for which you are wanting real-time data? In order to get the CME Group data from us at the non-professional rates, you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account. And you need to be able to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification. Refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges As we mentioned above, you can not use Sierra Chart with Tradovate, therefore that account will not work for the above. If you are not wanting to trade directly from Sierra Chart then we recommend the solution outlined at the following link: Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement If you do want to trade directly from Sierra Chart, then you would need to have another broker. If you strictly trade the CME Group, then we recommend using our Teton Order Routing Service. You can get the real-time data from Rithmic in this case. In order to do this follow the instructions at the following link: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions If you are asking if you can use the APEX account as verification for the CME Group data, then the answer is "No". Prop firm accounts do not qualify for the CME Group requirement for a non-professional account - basically you need to be trading your own money. You can get the real-time data from Rithmic and execute the trades within Sierra Chart. also will i be able to connect with rithmic but get denali feed? You can only do this if you have a live, funded, futures trading account to which you can connect your Sierra Chart software, in order to get the data at the non-professional rates. You could pay the Professional rates, but they are so expensive so that you should only do this if you are actually a professional trader. As we mentioned, you can not use your Tradovate account, since Tradovate does not allow for connectivity with Sierra Chart. Hi John so i have got rithmic data from apex and this is what i see after connecting. it is connected sucessfully but no data is downloading. kindly let me know what can i do in this case. also do i need to purchase denali data now for live trades and historical data? actually i found the solution John. i just had to go into EDIT- then translate symbol and its working fine on rithmic! thank you again....
