Sim trading on a live market data

Im interested in becoming an member of Sierra Chart by purchasing package 11, with Denali exchange data feed. So far I am an sim trader unprofessional trading futures gold (GC), and im confused about the thread with the real time data. Do I need to open a brokerage account even though I want to trade on simulator with real time data?

If you want the real-time data for the CME Group at the non-professional rates, then you do have to have a live, funded, futures brokerage account. And you need to be able to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification. This is a requirement of the CME Group. Refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges We highly recommend using our free Delayed Streaming Data since you are sim trading. The data acts like real-time data in all respects, except that it is delayed by 10-15 minutes (depending on exchange). Refer to the following: Delayed Exchange Data Feed You can also use the Delayed Streaming Data with our Simulated Futures Trading Service. Refer to the following: Simulated Futures Trading Service And to top it all off, you can be on one of our "Base" packages, saving you a bit more money. Going off of the instructions from Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement is $100 the minimum amount that must be in the account or is it possible to have less, and still receive real-time data? |

With Stage 5 brokerage it is minimum 100$, I've checked many brokers supported by sierra charts, but none of them have less than 100$, Stage 5 has the lowest account activation cost.
