Hello, I'm aware of some severe data issues in the recent couple of weeks. For instance today, it has taken more than 20 minutes to load just 4 days of MNQ data, whereas it usually takes under a minute. I also had a trade on Friday where the entry price and chart price were quite a distance (just over 40 ticks apart -- using the Denali data feed with Rithmic order routing for Apex evaluation). On Tuesday last week there were several candles out of time sequence (solved by Edit >> Delete Data and Download) to re-download all of the data for MNQ M4. At times there is a significant noticeable pause which seems unusually slow for the opening RTH hour. You mentioned in another post (Sierra Chart Internet Connectivity Related Issues | Post: 384653) that: ... you have to take responsibility for your Internet connection and get a new connection or change ISPs in order to improve the connection to the extent possible
You may also want to upgrade your router as well to a faster one if needed.
I've just checked my local connection and it is running at almost 98Mbps down / 38Mbps up (on a 100/40Mbps plan here in Australia, which is the fastest I can access where I live) -- using two independent speed tests. The connection provider is the best I have available (and only one in Australia with this broadband in my area). My router is also quite new and upgraded. So none of that has changed in any way over the past week (or months). I don't have other options and for every other use our internet is not causing any issues. I'm currently attempting to update to SC version 2644 (from 2638). Even this server update is taking a lot longer time than usual (over 10 minutes and the installer is not finished). EDIT: cancelled after almost 20 mins. Am trying to download the Zip Installer for 2644, but that 50.3Mb file has a download ETA of one hour. I'm not sure if I should follow the advice and specify a CME server (DS32.sierracharts.com) as mentioned on Sierra Chart Internet Connectivity Related Issues | Post: 383676 -- or leave that field in Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special blank as it was previously. Any advice to an expected resolution would be very much appreciated. I'm not sure from reading through the threads what I can do to get my data back to its usual excellent response times. Update: I have now updated the version to 2644 using the Zip Installer (MD5 errors after 5 attempts to update via the SC Help Menu) -- this now seems more responsive and normal. Using Edit >> Delete All Data and Download the incoming data has imported much quicker, like I am used to -- the MNQM4.CME data going back to March (more than 60 trading days) has loaded in about 7 minutes (whereas earlier, only the last 3 days took more than 20 minutes). |

We apologize for this. To solve this, follow the instructions below. You need to specify this specific server: DS32.sierracharts.com To use this specific server, enter it in this field in Sierra Chart: Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) And this field: Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Historical Server Address Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) You also need to reconnect with File >> Reconnect. We also know about this issue, and we will be resolving this, by June 17: Even this server update is taking a lot longer time than usual (over 10 minutes and the installer is not finished).
