Hi, I hope you can help. I am using the spreadsheet system for trading. Overall, this works well except during news events or other quick moves in the market. In fast markets, I will get multiple entries instead of trading just one contract as I have preset. Please see attach file with screenshots of the important settings. I am using the most recent version of SC. |

Those apparent multiple entries could be multiple fills, of an order with a quantity greater than 1. Another possibility is that, the order entry was actually on different bars and there were many bars created over a short amount of time. And the order fills, all occurred on the same subsequent bar. You really have to examine the Trade Activity Log and find out what the bar time is of the order entries. Refer to: Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity And to be sure you do not have a problem, set these settings as follows: Spreadsheet Systems, Alerts and Automated Trading: Reset Condition On New Bar = No Automated Trading Management: CancelAllOrdersOnReversals = No Automated Trading Management: AllowEntryWithWorkingOrders = No Automated Trading Management: CancelAllWorkingOrdersOnExit = No Reduce the Maximum Position Allowed to what you want Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you for your response. After further review, the error came from my spreadsheet formulas and not a software error or another malfunction. I was able to eliminate the multiple entries through your comments above. Thank you!
