I have a strange problem. I have 2 chartbooks open. The datafeed is just the SC data feed that has the Forex and CFD data. I have the past 6 months downloaded of all symbols the charts are using. The files are huge. They were just downloaded the other day. on the first chartbook, I have it set to load the past 20 days of data. This loads fine.. if I press HOME it goes back to about 20 days ago. in the second chartbook, I also have it set to load the past 20 days of data. But it only loads one day's worth. If I press HOME it goes back only 1 day. if I change it to load from date range, then it can load the full six months. HOME goes back 6 months. So using the date range is a temporary solution but I guess I would have to remember to update the date range every once in a while, so it is not ideal. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? and how to fix it to load the past 20 days? |

I have 6 months downloaded already for the symbol. I noticed another problem. currently it has the date range in [Data Limiting] set to 2023-11-10 to 2024-05-08. (btw does this automatically update each day? I notice it says read only for the second date) so it works like that.. shows about 6 months on the chart. but when I change the first date to just a month prior, and press OK.. when I open Chart Settings again [Data Limiting] it is still set to 2023-11-10 , not to the 1 month back value I changed it to. is this normal behaviour? the limiting method is "use data range" |

It depends on which dates you are referring to. On the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting" page there are two sets of items on the page that reference Start and End dates. At the top of the page is a set of dates for the "Date Range in File". These settings control/display the dates of the data in the file for the symbol you have selected. The "Date Range in File To" is always Read-Only and can not be changed. It will update to the current day. You can change the "Date Range in File From" to an earlier date. But in the case of a Futures Contract, there is only so far back that you can set this date, as each contract has a limited life span. In the middle of the page is a set of dates for the "Load Data Limiting Method" when it is set to "Date Range". You can then specify both the "Date Range From" and the "Date Range To". This will cause the chart to only load data within those dates. It sounds like you are trying to change the values at the top, and you can not go further back than 2023-11-10 as this must be a futures contract and that is the start of the data for that contract. In order to get more data into a chart for a Futures Contract, you would have to use the Continuous Futures Contract option. Refer to the following: Continuous Futures Contract Charts With a Continuous Futures Contract chart, you can not change the "Date Range in File From" any further back then the current contract goes. You need to adjust either the "Days to Load" or the "Date Range" for loading data. ok i think i have some one or two months of data missing for some reason, strange this is CFD data from the SC Data - all services [data] XAUUSD the other symbols don't have missing data. the reason I say it is strange is because there was no SCID data a few days ago and then it downloaded it all for each chart.. so it is strange that it is missing a month or two, anyhow I will try to redownload the missing data Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-05-08 21:05:47
