Hi I have a couple of questions. 1 - When I lock the fill space on the right, I can add some text but when I scroll back to the left, the text moves away. I can see the fill space locked but no text. 2 - Is it possible to have a gap between the Fill space lock and the last bar ? say a few centimeters or is it possible to have a locked vertical line on the fill space border to indicate its the fill space. I've attached a file as reference as it relates to footprint chart. Regards Avi |

1. How are you adding text? In general, for what you are stating, you would want to use the "Stationary Text" drawing tool. Refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Type Text | Stationary Text 2. We are no understanding the question here. If you want additional space, then you just need to set the Lock Fill Space where you want it to be. If you want some kind of marker, you would have to use a drawing tool to do this, such as the Vertical Line. You can then place this where you want it. Thanks John I looked at Stationary text but not what i'm looking for. I'd like for the text to stay in place at specific price levels if I move the chart around. With the stationary text, it moves the text as I move the chart around. With the normal text, the text stays in place but it does not stay in the lock fill space area. for the 2nd question, I just wanted a way to show the border of the lock fill space so I know the last bar is within view as sometimes I'm not always seeing the last bar while it moves Hope that helps to rephrase it more clearer. |

We are not understanding this. We assume you have the Stationary Text and Type Text tools backwards in terms of how they move, but we do not understand the issue with regards to the "forward projection" area (the area forward of the Lock Fill Space location). Stationary text that is placed in this area stays exactly where it is placed. Type Text moves with the chart regardless of whether is is in the forward projection area or not. We are not seeing any issues with the behavior of either of these tools. for the 2nd question, I just wanted a way to show the border of the lock fill space so I know the last bar is within view as sometimes I'm not always seeing the last bar while it moves
The best option for having a way to see where the lock fill space is located would be to use the "Stationary Text" and putting just a letter or something to give you a marker. You could stack a series of characters to create something like a line. This is the only tool that will stay in place when the chart is moved (our suggestion of a Vertical Line previously will not work - we were not thinking fully apparently). ok thanks for the 2nd question I understand it now and can see the stationary text in place @ the price levels in the lock fill space. For the first one, I'm trying to ensure the current trading bar is always visible. in the Scale settings, I have keep last bar within view constant range (11 pts) when I use the hand tool to scroll back, the bars go into the lock fill space. Is there a way to ensure the last trading bar is always visible on the screen. Sorry for the confusion on this. |

If what you are looking for is a way to keep the last bar itself on the screen and be able to scroll back to see prior time periods, then this is not available. What you are seeing with the bars "disappearing" into the lock fill space area is how the system works.
