Currently on SC Version 2627,

Global Settings > Data/Trade Service Settings > Common Settings > Connect on Program Startup > No

does not seem to get recognized.

After startup select Disconnect DataFeed. Close SC and select Save All. On the desktop shortcut Connect to DataFeed is unchecked.

Is there something else that needs to be selected in order to not connect on startup?

This is not version specific at all.

There may be a chart that has no data which is causing a connection.

Have 2 copies used for backtesting, in separate folders on the same symbol, NQM24-CME, using the same Data and Chart settings. Copy 1 is on Version 2568, and starts up without connecting, as Copy 2 was doing prior to updating after the Telegram alert updates to SC.

In both had only one chart open. After your response, closed the chart in Copy 2 and reloaded it and confirmed the Data settings to be the same (please see attached). Disconnected from DataFeed. Closed SC and selected Save All. Started Copy 2 and it connects at start up.

We do not know why there is a connection in your particular case.

We cannot reproduce this issue.

If there is a connection and you do not want it, simply select File >> Disconnect.
