I'm running v 2602 and something happened to change the default directories and I'm unable to change them back. I have it installed in C:\SierraChart with the data file in Sierrachart\data and the program has C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Data\ which I'm unable to change, it keeps reverting back.

I fixed it. I had to change the "always use' field.

I fixed it but now I lost my Control Bar settings, chart links and a lot of default graphics settings.

This fix only allowed the charts to be displayed, I'm not receiving price data. I need the program to be restored to the way I had it. What do I have to change?

Refer to the following for how to restore the file that contains the settings from a backup:

It's not working. If I use the shortcut I have, Sierra starts without the changed configuration. If I start from file explorer a window opens and shuts immediately. I used config files from the 14th.

Make sure your shortcut is pointing to the correct location. And you may have to go back a few days to find a configuration file that works properly. We wonder if you have another folder with Sierra Chart and somehow your shortcut got mixed up, or something about the installations is crossed.

In terms of starting from the folder directly, it may be that your shortcut is setup to use "Run as Administrator". Try right-clicking on the executable and selecting that option when you try to run it.

I'm pretty sure the other folder is on OneDrive. I tried changing the shortcut to c:\SierraChart\Data. Is this correct? I did this because OneDrive pointed to the Data folder. Running the exe as administrator was no different. I used the backup folders from the 14th. That the installation is crossed is why I think I have to re-install Sierra.

The shortcut to the Sierra Chart executable normally will be C:\SierraChart\. It will not contain the Data subfolder.

I re-installed Sierra and copied the backup files. It's running correctly now. all I have to do is re-open the studies to reset them.
