I have a chart where a drawing created with sc.AddAndManageSingleTextUserDrawnDrawingForStudy is not visible on the chart when Graphics Settings - Chart | Use Global Graphics settings is UnChecked. If Checked, the drawing is visible. You can see from the screenshot that this drawing (-1244) is configured similar to the other two created from the Tools menu. So why the difference and not being visible? Second issue is the fonts in this dialog are huge. This seems to be the only one and other dialogs appear normal. |

With regards to the graphics settings, are you properly referencing a subgraph for this function where it gets the color and size information? Refer to the following: sc.AddAndManageSingleTextUserDrawnDrawingForStudy() With regards to the "Manage Chart Drawings" window, there is a new font setting that controls that window at "Graphics Settings >> Font >> Control Layout Window". Set this as you want it. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks John, yes, the study does reference the chart/study/sg and gets data correctly. Even it if didn't, it would display a 0 for the text. It's just the setting for use global or chart graphics that makes it visible/not visible which is really strange. Also, as you can see from the ctrl-alt-m, manage drawings window, the Tool does exist...but not visible. With global graphics unchecked, certain changes like color cause the tool to flash and disappear. This does not happen if the chart has chart graphics with the Use Global checkbox Checked. p.s., thx for the ptr to that new Font item. that fixed the dialog issue. We do not see how the problem is related to this: With global graphics unchecked, certain changes like color cause the tool to flash and disappear. This does not happen if the chart has chart graphics with the Use Global checkbox Checked.

Hi Sierra Chart Engineering, I have also reproduced this using the Clock study and checking/unchecking the Global graphics box on/off. I am attaching the chartbook that exhibits the issue on my machine. Using v2604. |

The issue, with that Chartbook and that study must relate to the Font. Look at the font that is specified in Chart >> Graphics Settings >>Font for the Chart Text. Reset all of the font properties to something reasonable.

Hi Sierra Chart Engineering, This is a strange one. If the Chart >> Graphics Settings >> Fonts >> Chart Text is Consolas, the clock does not show and the chart itself shows the font on time/price scale. Change the Chart Text font to Segoe UI, and now the clock shows and the time/price reflects the new font as well. See the 2 attached images. |

We do not know why. This is not a Sierra Chart issue. From everything we see this looks like an operating system problem. We do not see how it is at all a problem within Sierra Chart. This makes no sense. We do not observe the problem ourselves. The clock study appeared on the Chartbook just fine. We just noted that the font looked different. Given other fonts work and Consolas does not seems to point to a Windows OS issue. Not like Sierra is doing anything different when a different font is selected. Thanks for the assistance on isolating what to change to troubleshoot when this only repros on my machine evidently. Have a great day folks!!!
