Thanks John, yes, the study does reference the chart/study/sg and gets data correctly. Even it if didn't, it would display a 0 for the text. It's just the setting for use global or chart graphics that makes it visible/not visible which is really strange. Also, as you can see from the ctrl-alt-m, manage drawings window, the Tool does exist...but not visible. With global graphics unchecked, certain changes like color cause the tool to flash and disappear. This does not happen if the chart has chart graphics with the Use Global checkbox Checked. p.s., thx for the ptr to that new Font item. that fixed the dialog issue.
