Hi Support, When using the 'Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2' to 'Highlight Adjacent Alerts Minimum Group Size:' how do i set the volume threshold for the imbalance, if possible? I've tried to change the 'percentage threshold' and 'additional volume threshold' But neither setting make any difference to the study.... Please also confirm what the default percentage is for this setting?? Thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-01-22 00:51:20

The "Highlight Adjacent Alerts Minimum Group Size" has nothing to do with the threshold that you are setting. You set the threshold you want for the notifications, then the "Highlight Adjacent Alerts Minimum Group Size" if you want to get an additional visual cue that there is a grouping of these alerts (i.e. alerts at adjacent price points) of a certain size (2, 3, 4, etc.). You set the threshold value you want in the "Volume Threshold" Input. But to 'Highlight Adjacent Alerts Minimum Group Size' the Volume Threshold must be set to 1 and -1... as I read in the manual. I have the comparison method set to 'ask vol, bid vol diag difference' and lets say I have the group size set to 6..... So 2 questions? 1. What is the 'reason' there are 6 prices highlighted, (this is not explained in the manual page).....Is it because they all have the same 'ask vol, bid vol diag difference'? (If not, please specify what the reasoning is to highlight 6 levels...(ie, the same total volume at each level or the same imbalance of 300% at each level, etc) 2. If it because each level has the same 'ask vol, bid vol diag difference' what is 'that' percentage/ratio and where can I change it to be higher or lower? Thx John |

The "Highlight Adjacent Alerts Minimum Group Size" allows you to see when a group of "Threshold Alerts" has occurred at a set of prices all next to each other. So if you set this to 6, then if 6 prices all together, meet the threshold value you have entered, then you will get a rectangle drawn around those 6 alert squares. If you set it to 3, then any group of 3 or more will be highlighted. If you set it to 1, then every square will be highlighted. Thx John, I understand how it works but was having trouble with the threshold setting, but I just found that because i'm charting the ES, its such a think volume market I have to make a major change to the threshold for it to make a difference. Many thanks |
