Furthermore: 1. 2nd instance does not allow me to change the quantity of bracket orders that are pending. Nor does it allow me to change the actual positions of the bracket orders. This problem is fixed if I close the 2nd instance and try to make the changes in the 1st instance. 2. The 1st instance shows the points when adjusting the positions on the chart. |

Instance does not maintain same quantity for OCO orders
If you are referring to the quantity set prior to putting in an order, then you need to keep in mind that instances are all completely separate. So any quantity entered in the Main Instance is not going to reflected in any other instance. Refer to the following:Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Each Sub Instance is Independent not show the points when adjusting positions on the chart.
In terms of the orders not showing the points when modifying, refer to the following setting:Global Trade Settings Windows: Attached Order P/L When Modifying (Global Settings >> Chart Trade Settings >> Working Orders >> Working Orders - Display) 2nd instance does not allow me to change the quantity of bracket orders that are pending. Nor does it allow me to change the actual positions of the bracket orders. This problem is fixed if I close the 2nd instance and try to make the changes in the 1st instance.
Are these simulated or live orders? Where are you entering the order (main instance or sub-instance)? For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-01-23 15:45:02

Nothing was changed. Yet, this problem for the time being seems to have fixed itself. It seems to be a sporadic problem. Are these simulated or live orders? Where are you entering the order (main instance or sub-instance)?
These are live orders. Even if staying within the same instance in which the order was placed, I am not allowed to change the quantity of the bracket orders prior to the parent order being filled. However, once the parent order is filled, I can then change the bracket order quantity. In the past, I could change the bracket order quantity prior to the parent order getting filled. Ever since I set up the 2nd instance, I am no longer able to do so. I've tried to work with just the main instance (without ever opening the 2nd instance), and the problem now persists. This is not supported and never has been: Even if staying within the same instance in which the order was placed, I am not allowed to change the quantity of the bracket orders prior to the parent order being filled. However, once the parent order is filled, I can then change the bracket order quantity. The quantities will be 0. If you try to change them the change might take place but that change will be overridden upon the parent order fill. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I may have confused this with changing the quantity of OCO orders without an attached parent order. However, the following problems still have yet to be resolved: 1. Not being able to change the quantity of OCO orders whose parent orders have already been filled, within the same instance that it was originally placed. 2. Not being able to display the points when adjusting the positions of the OCO orders on the chart. As previously mentioned, these problems seem to be sporadic and are currently not being shown. The only thing that I have tried so far is rebooting the platform. I will let you know if the problem comes up again. |

1. This can be an interactive brokers issue. Check the Trade >> Trade Activity Log to see what has happened. 2. We need to know exactly what you are seeing when modifying an order.
